I love that Planet Fitness is a "normal" gym in the sense that average, everyday people from all walks of life and all levels of fitness are welcomed and not judged. I've been to other gyms in town known as more heavyweight, body builder type gyms and they can be kind of "in your face" and intimidating. You're cheered on at Planet Fitness by fellow members and some of the nicest staff in town. You're accepted for who you are and your efforts to workout, not for how big your muscles are or how heavy you bench.

Yes there areas to stretch and work out with just a mat.

Well honestly people don't really care, they have it around their necks or even under their nose or mouth so trust when i say it's fine you don't have to eventually you take off the mask after a good workout
Actually you pay $39 a month for all the perks, Tanning, massage which has I believe 3 flat beds 2 recliner beds to sit up chairs. There is also a stand up total body enhancement booth. Ask front desk for a pamphlet and explanation about it if interested.
