The Tortellini Alla Panna tasted sour, the sauce was not creamy and had lumps of what appeared to be sour cream. Very disappointed, not even sure if I should eat it! I wish I could post a picture

Best eggplant parmigiana I've ever had. I'm really glad I ordered it. They had an amazing lemon cake too. Our server was fantastic. I want to come back again soon!

Has been almost 15 years since trying a Strings. I wished I would have not tried it today. The server was a great guy who really provided great service but the food SUCKED! When we came into the restaurant you could smell old grease. That should have been our cue to hightail it out of there. We figured we’d give it a shot based on the description and photos in the menu. To say the food was a let down is a epic understatement. Pasta tasted mainly of oil and cream with no other flavor, not even salt or garlic. Tasted as though garlic used in the other dish was garlic salt rather than fresh garlic. It is the height of tomato season and the tomatoes were pink not red. The chicken was fried to the point of being burned. Nothing tasted fresh or minimally freshly made. None of the dishes looked anything like the photos in the menu. The table was sticky and the place felt like it was not very clean. Overheard other tables equally disappointed with their food. Server took 20% off the bill we did not argue, paid and got out of this place. We feel sorry for the really awesome server. This guy was amazing in the face of having to deal with poor quality food coming from the kitchen. Nothing good to say about this place other than the server was great.

Choice of salad or soup are complimentary with every Adult entree ordered. You are only charged if the Entree is shared, because there is an additional person eating. The refills of said soup or salad are a courtesy that they provide as well, but are not intended for multiple people to eat off of to avoid purchasing their own meals. The bread is also complimentary while dining in the restaurant, but "extra" refills are not intended for going out the door.
No and yes they are closing this place of Business but WAIT! They will be reopening in July 2018 folks somewhere off of Manzanita. Unfortunately they are being forced to leave due to the property owner has sold the property. STRINGS MUST RELOCATE. BUT NO WORRIES! !!! Our Favorite Italian Restaurant Will be Back in July 2018 And up and Ready to go at there new place of business. Keep your eyes on Google, Sacramento Strings and the new address and number will be available as soon as the Business has reopened. Can't wait!!!!!
As others have said it's likely unnecessary unless you're in a very large group or coming at a very busy time like Friday night.
