The staff was welcoming even though we're clearly tourists. The gnocchi tasted super fresh and the kids enjoyed the pizza and mozzarella sticks. Good place for a family meal.

After placing the order the food was ready in 10 minutes. The bread was cold, minestrone soup was watery, not thick. The stuffed cheese ravioli, barely had any stuffing, and had toooo much salt. The pesto spaghetti pasta, had no salt at all. Mozarella sticks were good. With this experience, we did not feel like tasting the pasta in burro sauce which we had ordered. The owner was kind enough to take the dish back and not charge for it. Would not try this place again.

Absolutely fantastic. In all seriousness this place has the BEST New York Italian flavor in a dish I've ever tasted. The take out only system works fine for me and service was great.

I now live in Brooklyn, NY, with some of the best pizza blocks from my apartment. I was discussing pizza outside NYC with some friends and family. We brought up SF pizza. I said that when I lived there from 1995 to 2006, I used to go to this place Victor's on Polk Street that reminded me of a NY slice. Its really good pie in a legit old school pizzeria. The reviews here seem mixed, so I hope it held up over the years! A legit pizza place though usually doesn't change recipes or methods, so I bet it is still a great place for a NY style slice. It wasn't a pretty place 15 years ago and the service was never great, but I always thought it had its charm.
