Update: I dined in at Nara - gotta say it was a much better experience! I have a new favorite casual sushi spot in SF now My go-to sushi place for takeouts - I haven’t tried the rolls and they are somewhat limited but that’s OK because nigiris are consistently great and they never disappoint!

This is the best sushi place I’ve ever tried outside Japan. The fish quality and variety was amazing. Rolls are very innovative (not traditional ones) but their quality makes them exceptional! Not a cheap place, but it’s totally worth it. I don’t usually give 5 stars, so no doubts I’ll come back!

The omakase here is solid and at a reasonable price for in the city. We even got a complimentary fried fish appetizer (probably bc of our large order). Staff is friendly and service was fast. There are many sakes to try!
