Tracy Sherman, Director of Fine Jewelry certainly measures up to to title. Despite the 20% commission, we chose them because of the their presentation and methods to get the highest price. If you are not quite sure, get a GIA certification before you go. If you shop for a lower commission, be sure you know how they plan to promote you jewelry.

Do not use Heritage Auctions for any high value purchase. I spent $28.8K on a a rare comic: AF15 first apperance of Spiderman and here is what happened: They shipped it to me in a non sturdy box that was crushed and without ANY Fragile sticker to ensure FedEx treated it well. The comic book was encased in a CGC holder which was cracked which would impact resale value. When I sent it back for repair Fedex re-charged my 1803.38 import taxes to Canada which I had already paid when it was shipped to me damaged the first time. They did not find Heritage Auctions documentation stating it was my item sufficient or simply ignored it. Heritage will not help me with any percentage of the erroneous tax charged by their own choice of shipping partner, all due to an issue caused by their poor packaging of a high value item. They made 11K of buyer fees from me last year across multiple auctions but won't pitch in a penny to help make good on a situation they caused by them and their preferred shipping partner. If you see a response from owner below this review from their CSR team asking me to contact them, it's probably there for PR purposes and in the back end they won't help me with the issue they instigated.

The office in Florida is only a satellite office which I don't see mentioned anywhere. Lady I spoke with on the phone was abrupt. I asked her to hold on a minute while I was trying to write down a number she was going to give me. When, for the 2nd time she started rattling it off before I had a place to write it & ended up telling her thanks so much just forget it.

I just won the lot with estimate price 10k to 10k and I wanted to reconsign it after the auction end. They said the estimate price for this lot 4k to 6k. What is not an honest business!!! Beware with this business. I have some problems with them like that over and over!! This is from Dallas auction and I have talked to Diane from consign but she is the one who gave me this estimate price!
