Always busy, you have to cross it before 7.30 on a week day.. else you’ll end up spending 15 to 20 min. Also please note the HOV lane is ‘3 or more’ not ‘2 or more’ usually there is a patrol near by all the time and a car gets pulled over for violating the HOV rules ..

Always busy and has a random lane on the right side that's closed. Really feel there should be a more efficient way to funnel traffic to the bridge.

I moved away from the bayarea years ago. The toll plaza still needs to work on a more stream lined lane car controls and have all terminals open for through traffic. Red lighted lane closures spread all over the place was causing the jam ups. I did notice SOME very nice features to many to mention here.

Used the fastrak we used in Los Angeles and it worked perfectly 😄 too bad we didn't get on the fastest lane closer to the right hand side. The fees are displayed on top depending on time and how busy it is.

I paid 7 or $8 on the Golden Gate Bridge because they have no toll takers anymore. They sent me a bill in the mail off of my license plate. It's $5 if you pay the normal fee at the Oakland bridge but if you try to cheat they charge you I think $15
And that is the case for all bridges, not just the Bay Bridge. Only SF-bound (or West-bound, in the case of San Mateo and Dumbarton bridges) drivers pay.
If it's your first month using fast track it will charge you a set amount for the first month. If you don't use it all it will roll over to the following month and so on. That is only in case you have fast track, if you don't have the service and you use the Lane's and at the tollbooth, there fees are no joke
I dont think so. I think you have to mail it in
It is per axle. For 2019, it starts at $16 for a 3 axle vehicle and goes up $5 for each additional axle with a max of $36. So a six axle rig and trailer pays $31.
At night, like late night its beautiful and no traffic. During the day can be horrific. A simple 15 minute ride can take anywhere from an hour to three. Besides all of the mess its a beautiful bridge.
No. You can purchase a fast track pass online otherwise you have to have to pay the toll💯👍
Through the plate of his car they realize where he lives, then they send him the payment by mail.
Call Fast Track and give them your license plate number and the date and time you crossed
You can park for free in many places but you still gotta pay tolls!
I believe its $6..... $5 dollars during not peak hours
I use the cash lanes. Rush hour, $6. After 10am, $4. Did you drive through the FastTrak lanes and got a ticket in the mail? Pay online or send a check as soon as you can. If you pay fast, they just want the bridge toll.
Yes you can pay cash only. If you are coming across the bay bridge, look for the signs that say cash/fastrak as opposed to just fastrak when entering the toll plaza at the foot of the bridge. If you enter the city via the golden gate, no stopping, you will receive a bill in the mail to where the car is registered.
5 axels would be 26 dollarz
I think the only way to pay this Toll./Fine would be by mail or online.
U have to go to the toll office at whatever BRIDGE within the same 24hr (I think) to be in hopes of being able to fix it ALL.......... I don't think they'll fix anything unless you're an "out of state" driver ONLY.....
They're going to charge you with fare evasion and it's $25 plus the total of $6 for a total of $31 that's what you will pay
She can call them to have the additional fees waived, ask to just pay toll amount.
They will send you a payment by mail, if it is your first time and you talk to someone they forgive you and you do not have to Pay anything, but if you do not have to Pay.
If you break down on the bridge, you should stay with your car or use the nearest call box. Caltrans has a tow service which will tow your car off of the bridge at no charge to one of the drop points. Abandoned cars will get impounded (costing money) and likely brought to the 'West lot' which is not open to the public. There is an office building at the toll plaza parking lot (East lot).
There is a toll collector to take your money and give you change. No credit cards.
