At night, like late night its beautiful and no traffic. During the day can be horrific. A simple 15 minute ride can take anywhere from an hour to three. Besides all of the mess its a beautiful bridge.
If you mean whether it's completed, yes. The new East span has been operational for some time and recently the last remaining stretch of the old East span was removed.
Works just fine. West bound gets packed in the rush hour as usual. Toll charges changes depending on the hour and the carpool situation. The bridge is such a good looking piece of art!
Get a fast pass, they only require a pretty paid toll otherwise are free. Gets you thru in a quarter the normal time.
During morning commute it's pretty backed up to toll plaza then once on bridge smooth until your off and hit Fremont st exit stay to the left to keep on 101 if your not exiting onto the first exit Fremont st ugh worst exit! Afternoon it's smooth and about 3pm lookout but it depends on where your coming thru at say oakland to get there you'll get back ups from Harrison MacArthur exit off and on all the way to toll booth . Morning and afternoon. So if you want to avoid it all I suggest going around noon or so
It's continually congested, with terrible traffic and yearly increases in tolls. I hope that answers your question.
Its already working
