Awesome place for kids who love planes!! Wanted to visit an aviation museum and luckily found a Groupon deal and what more it’s free for kids below age 5.

Top tier aviation museum! It's clear that the curators and staff care about aviation and its history, both globally and locally to Oakland/Alameda, very deeply... I would highly recommend this museum to any person (children, adults, handicapped, etc.)

Nice museum, we spent almost 2 hours here, learning so many things. There are even some things that are hands on. My only criticism, would be that the placards for the planes bury the year off the plane- it would be nice to put the years up front and easy to see.

The place was a bit smaller then I would have imagined and was a bit run down. However, the outside play area was loads of fun, there was tons of local historic pictures and information in the exhibits. Was good for about 2-3 hours of fun. Kids really liked being able to pretend they were aviators at a couple stations sprinkled through the museum. I also appreciated they had a whole room dedicated to women aviators!
