There are gates that are closed and locked every night. I would not recommend car camping here. The parking lots are small so the ranger will see you when they come to lock the gate and will tell you to leave. There are primitive camp sites here if you want to reserve one, maybe that would work?
I'm sure it would be no issue..
Yes, but dogs need to be on a leash at all times, even in the water. Retractable leash might be a good idea!
The entire park is very pet-friendly. There really isn't one area that is better than another one in my opinion
Must be good if no one answers 😉
they offer a couple different camping types. regular primitive, group camping and they have an wilderness Lodge?
There are multiple trails and at least 4 camp sites. You need to register with the Ranger station before using a camp area.
It is not necessary to reserve except in the covered picnic areas.
Great fishing has been my experience ,bass crappie bream ,ronoake bass
Yes indeed. Plenty of bathrooms. Vaulted ones but clean.
Cox mountain loop.
Just to clarify, West Point on the Eno is a Durham City Park and not part of Eno River State Park. Also, yes you can fish there as long as you have a valid NC fishing license.
Swimming is not allowed at the Quarry, and the parking areas that access the quarry trails (Pleasant Green and Cabe Lands) are closed. Otherwise the Park is open and you're allowed to get wet if you choose. If you go on Saturday or Sunday keep your mask handy, because the popular spots may be crowded.
Many people mistake common water snakes and hognose snakes for venomous ones. Rangers have told me they have only seen copperheads in rocky areas and that other types are generally unheard of this far north. You'll see black rat snakes and a few others, but they'll usually take off pretty quickly.
You can, but be aware that it is a river and after heavy rains it can be dangerous. Go to the Bobbit Hole area of the river to have a dip!
I don't know the cost but I am sure if you go to their official website it is listed. There is a campsite that is named "primitive" that is a close 10 minute walk to the Eno River.
The main office at 6101 Cole mill rd. is where you get the permit. Not sure how old you need to be, probably 18. Yes, a permit is required for eno camping. They can answer all your questions at the main office, it is staffed during the days.
I believe it is free of charge, but you'll need to stop by the main office off Cole Mill road and get a permit.
That I'm not sure, but it's a 2 mile hike in. Would be a pain. And no you can't drive right up. Not the trail. You park and have to hike in. That guy may be talking bout some where else, but not the quarry
Yea they come with a free ride to jail also! Have fun
Not sure but I don't see why not.
You will have to leave your vehicle to enjoy the river
There is no mill in the state park. The ruins of Holden's Mill are on the river bank along the Holden's Mill trail, but I have a feeling you are talking about the West Point Mill, which has been preserved and is now a museum. This is in the city park, West Point on the Eno, which is at 5101 N. Roxboro St. The mill is right next to the main parking lot, you can't miss it when you enter.

The Frog Hollow Outdoors at West Point on the Eno in Durham has kayak rentals. We have not personally tried or rented but everytime we go to West Point on the Eno during the summer someone is always there posted near the kayaks. Check out the Eno River Association site it has more info on paddling at the Eno River.
We've never caught them personally, but there are quite a few people who di enjoy fishing here. How big is big? Most of the ones I've seen are less than a foot long.
Coolers are allowed. Alcohol is not allowed in any NC State Park.
Anywhere on the river! If you go to the Cole Mill rd.entrance, just follow that road ALL the way til you get to the parking lot and follow one of the many trails by the grills/restrooms,and you'll see people or even find your own little private spot but there's plenty of places to swim! Also if your into jumping into a huge "hole",ride up Sparger rd and make a right onto the road right before the bridge that crosses 85 and hit the Eno Rock Quarry! Loads of fun but prepare to walk a cpl miles if you go there.. Its a mile to quarry and a mile back to the parking lot..hope this helps!
