Called to get assistance, currently pregnant with my first child. Was asked about maternity leave payment. I told her I haven’t been at my job long enough to get that and she gone laugh and say “wonder how you gonna manage that “ that is just so rude and that’s not something you say to someone that needs help. -reply - I never said anything about being denied, I was simply talking about how a worker was rude.

My significant other and I reached out for support during a time of crisis. I've never sought out handouts, no food stamps nor government support and the one time we needed support we were denied because they didn't consider it a "big enough crisis". This place doesn't like honesty so make sure you look up criteria to be approved because even if you're a couple months behind on rent, have a family emergency or falling behind they don't truly care about the person and they act like the money is coming straight out of their own pockets. Receptionists were nice but Peter was rude and condescending. Horrible experience. This is why people end up suffering in silence because when they ask for help they get treated like they don't matter enough.

Yes, they do not make appointments. They are closed tomorrow but will open at 9 on Tues. You will need proof of your July and Aug income and expenses. They will ask what happened that caused you to be unable to pay your rent. Take as much documentation as you can. It really helps.
Yes, and they provide a lot of it. They habe helped my family before. You have to bring a lot of paperwork though.
Their last interview is at 3:15 but technically they close at 4pm.
