REI is a great place for outdoor stuff. Friendly & helpful staff. They have stuff that is hard to find. Bear spray for example. The staff have experts in all outdoor activities.

This is by far the best customer service I have ever experienced at a retail store. I told my fiancé that I wish I had some weight in the backpack to see how it feel, and an employee promptly swooped in and actually gave me weight sacs! There were three men in the backpack section and I whenever I needed help, I was always able to spot them nearby and they offered extraordinary help. Patty, the cashier, was also wonderful. All of the workers were super positive when I came here (8/13/22). Very pleased.

From what ive experienced they do open at 10:30 but they are kinda busy so they might not be able to answer the phone at the moment id try calling back in 5 mins

Appt not necessary for most things since there is a repair person there most of the time for minor repair like tune ups. For anything more than that I think best to call and let them know the problem and for an appointment.
They are a store and only sell outdoor equipment. The store I go to does not take anyone out to teach them the sport. But you can go out on location at some lakes and they rent out kayaks.
3 to 4 times a year. They will be on the events calendar (sign up for that email list)
