A nice 26-minute walk, even in the rain. Great views and an eagle even flew right past. Traffic is quite loud and probably not great if you have vertigo.

NYS charges us for tolls. NYS wants us to get our vehicles inspected for unpassable roads. Who pays for the vehicle damage done by these craters? Who ever is the head of this department should be removed by not fixing these holes.

Awesome artistic twin bridge.

Bridge authority just confirmed the cat walk is open 24/7. The parking lot gate on newburgh side closes at 9pm. So if you park your car inside the gate and you are there after 9 pm it will be locked inside the gate.
The beginning of 2022
from newburgh to beacon its $1.75. Coming from beacon to newburgh is free. 7/7/21 it will be cashless
There is a place by the tolls
I left my wallet in Fishkill Sam's club. I realized when I got to lexis diner. I had no silver coins or cash it was in my wallet. The toll lady told me to count penny's to see if I had 175 to cross back over. I was humiliated . Luckily the car behind me offered to pay my toll. I tried to call office to complain and they did not answer. They could've gave me an iou by taking my license info and car plate. She is very nasty.
Yes. You should carry exact change though.
Yes, you can. It is posted at the cash tolls that it is available. Travel safe.
I finally found a phone number for the bridge and called.. they do take credit cards but you have to go thru lane 1, give them your license then go into the building to pay..... never mind all that, I'll just stop at an atm.
And while we're asking questions... The installed too fast pass lanes back in 1998. Neither of them has been open for single day in the last 21 years. I'd really like to know why.
You couldn't just Google that question??? https://www.google.com/search?q=newburgh+bridge+toll+rate&oq=newburgh&aqs=chrome.1.69i57j35i39l2j0.4638j0j4&client=ms-android-verizon&sourceid=chrome-mobile&ie=UTF-8
The town of Newburgh is on the West side of the bridge, and Beacon is on the East side of the bridge.
