When someone says they buy scrap gold but won't say what their commission is (like most other dealers do) then I don't trust them. This guy will have some glib response below about how long he's been in business, bla bla, but bottom line if they won't tell you how much they're going to charge on a basic commodity like scrap gold, better to find someone who will. Would you hire a realtor who won't tell you their commission? I wouldn't.

Do not trust this man. This "family" business made every assertion of their honesty and fairness yet tried to claim a lack of knowledge to the specific coins in the inherited collection I brought him in faith. He wouldn't call his "coin expert friend" or put me in touch with him. If he truly cared about me like he said and was actually reputable he would not have refused to let me talk to his expert. He was trying to take advantage, plain and simple. I was expected to accept $100 with his word that if the coins brought a "gentlemen's profit", his words, he would get in touch with me and give me more money. If I scrapped the silver coins alone they would be worth well over $100 but he wouldn't believe the coins were silver, not even after I showed him on silvercoinage.com. I am disabled and penniless yet he had no qualms taking advantage of me. This man has no honor. Find someone better. I will never give him any business. If you do use him, BE CAREFUL!!!!! I would give zero stars if I could.
