This is a great way to get outside with little ones just getting into hiking. The lake trail is nice and easy, albeit muddy in some locations. My son loves this hike. We saw lots of nature and wildlife as well

I don't see why not, would want a kayak cart, it's about 2\10ths of a mile to the water.
All the way at the top in the dirt parking lot at the former Moose Lodge....for now
I've gone swimming there occasionally, up by the damn end of the lake, but it's not the best lake for a bit hat.
