We took boxes that smelled slightly of smoke, THE BOXES, not the BOOKS. They said they would recycle them? Hard backs... and paperbacks will be checking back to see if any of the rarer hardbacks make it to their shelves.. better not see any of them on the shelves!! I've seen this happen before.. say the books aren't worth anything, then see them for sale. Stay tuned for update..

Made an online purchase from this store. The items were marked as in-stock. The order went through and I checked, the items were not available after my order was confirmed. Imagine my surprise when they cancelled two of the items from the order the next day. #1- you need a better, more reliable, and more immediate inventory system. #2- If your system makes an error like that, you need to do more than just apologize. You need to make good on the order, even if you have to take a loss on that transaction by procuring the item elsewhere to make good on the order which you confirmed.

It was a great first trip to a half price books for me on Sunday I brought in about 50 books & graphic novels and a dozen CUd's and they paid me $76 for all of it which was honestly more than I expected and was happy with that price knowing how easily the value of books depreciate. While waiting for them to look at all the books I brought in and browsed the store and was surprised at how much different stuff they had not only do they have books but they had records CDs video games graphic novels toys bobbleheads Funko Pops and all kinds of other stuff I didn't know Half Price Books had all this cool stuff inside until yesterday definitely going to have to come in here and do some shopping one day great first experience.

I always enjoy going to Half Price Books, if they don't have it there they can transport it from a nearby Half Price Books for free. They held a book longer then they technically allow, and I appreciate it since life was very hectic at the time. Always something new coming in and a good place to peruse, even for non book items such as board games and video games.

I can tell you that when I tried to sell them some books. That were going for 75.00. They only offered 5 bucks.
