This place is straight up magic. Freezing cold, and so so cool. If you're wondering if the price is worth it, it is. The ground is kinda snowy, some places getting super deep, so I'd definitely recommend wearing snow shoes. It's beautifully lit up, there's fun music, and it was such a fun experience with my boyfriend. The later at night you go though, I think the better. If you don't want kids around, go closer to 8:30/9:00

Absolutely beautiful! If you want to go and enjoy the splendor of it all and you do not have children, go later in the evening or on a week night. There were too many kids (and adults) playing Elsa, kids running around with parents who think their kids experience is the most important thing around. Most parents didn't have manners nor did their children. Saturday at 1:00 is not the best time to take your lovey on a date. Again, it was absolutely beautiful!

We’ve always wanted to see the Ice Castles in Midway, Utah and this year we made it! We enjoyed walking through the ice castles. It is cool how the lighting will completely change how the ice looks and feels. The different in colors, ice castle sizes and textures was something out of the ordinary. Probably the thing that made me smile and laugh the most was watching children and adults play on the ice slides.

It's definitely fun to do once. It felt a lot more crowded this year than last year, and all the tips of every ice fixture had been broken off by people. There's really not much to do inside unless you want to stand in lines or spend even more money. I think you basically walk around and take pictures. The hot chocolate was overpriced but tasted okay, and was nice and hot. The churros were not worth it. Maybe everything looked better when this was first set up, I don't know. Anyway, it was good to go and see once. I don't know that I'd go again. There's just way too many people, uneven ground, and nothing to hold onto when going uphill or downhill.

No, they require pre-purchased tickets for a specific time slot.
Without kids, maybe an hour. But there are a couple slides the kids can go on and they seem to be the ones that can explore all the little crevices so plan 2-3 hours if you got kids.
We went last week and she told me right now, they are open until March 1. She said it all depends on the weather.
It opens at 5:30p. What you are seeing is that it is closed at this current time. It will be open tonight.
Tickets are purchased online or in person
Go online
You can purchase tickets online for the day that you want and they will give you an arrival time.
Taken from website The date that each Ice Castles location will open is dependent on the weather. Colder locations will open before warmer locations However presale tickets are available now. Ticket sales are final. Ticket dates and times may be changed as long as changes are made at least 24 hours in advance. Please take this into considerations if there is inclement weather imminent or if you have a sudden change of circumstances.
You can get tickets there if needed
They're not yet available. But when they are you can buy them on their website. You can also sign up to get a notification when they start selling them there too. Which is what is suggest doing.
I went 30 minutes earlier than my time slot and had no issue going right in. Maybe get there earlier.
I went two weeks ago and they were selling at the window, but I couldn't assure you at this time.
It's really hard to walk with snow and ice in most parts of the ice caves.
13.99 adults M-Th child 9.99 19.99 and 12.99 weekend
If you can purchase online I guess you can go in because you purchased it I would assume they would sold out online
I think they are allowing rescheduling for a later date but I didn't see any details of refunds. Check the site.
If you go to their website, it will give you updates. They were sold out when we made reservations. So it booked us 2 weeks out. Totally worth it. Especially if you have kids. Going at night is also recommended because the lights are beautiful! I do suggest dressing extremely warm & snow boots. You will be walking in snow. www.icecastles.com
Yes
$19.99 per person
It says 2020 but it doesn't start and open till January 3rd
I believe it starts January 3rd
You can find all that info here: https://icecastles.com/utah
Depending on the weather, end of February or beginning of March. There is no exact date
Yes, they are selling tickets for the Feb. 1 online: https://www.showclix.com/event/ice-castles-utah-2020
12 hours
No need for slides but small children will benefit from being pulled on a sled.
If you are older you might have a problem even with a walking stick.
You can buy tickets either online or at the door. But it is better to buy tickets online if you wish, you may not be able to enter
It's better to get them before you go, so they don't sell out. They open ticket sales based on whether they think the ice will stay frozen based on the temperature outside, so they may not have very far in advance scheduled. You might have to wait until it gets a little closer.
The lights are really cool at night, but it's probably slightly warmer during the day. I really enjoyed going at night.
You can stay as long as you like, generally people stay for about an hour, 2-3 hours with kids.
You can, but it's better to do it before you get there.
It varies each year depending on the weather. Contact them directly to find out more.
They opened this week!!
Generally they dont open till mid-late December, depending on the weather (if it's too warm, it takes longer to build and thus opens later). Hope this helps!
Unfortunately, I believe this previous weekend was their last few days of business for this year
On their Facebook page they list today (Monday) as the last day they are open.
You can walk. But if you are planning just know tomorrow is our last day.
They have hot chocolate and desserts. There is a restaurant on site, I didn't try it because it was closed by 8:45 but it's at the exit
Has been extended to March 1st.
It should be.
It was allowing me to buy tickets for tomorrow
They are open tonight. No group text has been sent yet about closing. They usual only close if it's raining...
I don't think it's open now.
They're open in the rain! But be sure to bring a raincoat or umbrella because they don't have a covering over everything
There last operating day is Feb 9.
I think they stated when we went that we had a 30 minute window with our ticket time.
Hello, the website is icecastles.com and you should be able to find all the info you need there, as well as book tickets
i believe you can check their website and they will send you a discount code.
Better to get entrance time right when it start to get dark so you can enjoy natural light and the colored lighting. Dress warm for the evening chill. Hope this helps, have fun.
I believe they are open daily, their website is icecastles.com I think and that is where you book the tickets and see information
We made it there just in time . Thank you it was an awesome experience
We we're not asked for ID. It was pretty casual.
Unfortunately no, the land is irregular and covered by snow, not appropriate for a wheelchair.
It is open typically about two months. Any nice day is a good time to go.
I don't think they've announced an opening date yet
No. In fact they're not open yet at all. According to the website there expected to open sometime in early January
They do, but in their website they will post a calendar. Look closely to follow up.
As long as you want, until it closes. Your general admission ticket does not expire until the end of the day
Not open yet. Check website for opening date.
There is a restaurant lodging in a resort here that is open year-round. The ice castles are only opening for a very short period of time in the winter.
January or February are typically the months it's in.
You will have to contact them next year to confirm but I highly doubt they'll be redeemable for the 2018-2019 season.
I think they start building them pretty early
They closed early for the season, last sunday, due to the warm weather. They did say if it gets cold enough to reopen they would try to do so.
Try to contact them I read in the news that they were going to close early in the season since it is too warm and the ice is melting. It may reopen later.
Snow pants boots gloves coat hat. You get to go down slides and sit in ice chairs so you could get a little damp. There are ice caves and spots where you can walk through narrow places in the ice walls. Hope you have as much fun as we did its as much fun as you make it. They also have staff with flaming sticks that put on a show. We were met by olaf and anna. Great picture op.
Im glad you asked. Please call the ice castles to confirm that date. These questions on google are served to the community and not the Ice Castles. Reservation and time slot openings can not be confirmed by the community but only by the Ice Castle.
Call them to reschedule.
They are really good. It could be possible
This is an amazing place for kids and adults.
Yes you might be asked to show his credentials
I think it would be pretty difficult for a wheelchair to have access. The ground is crushed ice. They recommend bringing sleds to pull children on because strollers would be difficult to push in the crushed ice. Think of it like pushing a wheelchair in sand. If the person in the wheelchair could sit in a sled, i think that would be the best option. Otherwise, I'd call the Homestead to see what they recommend. Best of luck!
Yes if you want to wait buy them at the resort. To pick a time you buy them online
Yeah, I went when it was warm weather, and it doesn't seem the weather has impacted anything.
I went when it was pretty warm, so I don't think so. I'd double check though, and call them just to be safe.
As long as you want! It's not just one castle-- It's a series of ice sculptures that you can go in and around. You have entrance until it closes!
It can get very slippery in some places with some uneven surfaces. Just be careful if you choose to do it. There are plenty of areas to see that have safer surfaces to walk on.
Check their Facebook it changes quite a bit
As far as I know you can still do walk-in but online is cheaper to buy
Check Groupon, I got a deal last year
It took them a few days longer to open because of the warm weather but the castles weren't melting last night when we visited. They looked great!
Follow them on Facebook. That is where you will find the most up-to-date information.
I went last year to the one in Midway Utah, the prices were $9.95 (12+), $6.95 (4-11), Children 3 and under free. Not sure if the prices are going to be the same this year :/ Hope that helps.
It all depends on the weather. They do a good job with updates on Facebook. I would recommend following them for updates.
