I enjoy going here. Take the walk and sit down when you to the end of the trail and enjoy all the sounds of the animals

As another reviewer said, it was hard to find the trail and a sign would be nice to have. You have to walk back to the road to find the beginning of the trail. It’s about a 1 mile walk, half a mile out and then half a mile back on a nice level, straight trail.

Would have been nice if the parking lot had a sign that pointed towards the trail, we figured it out obviously. Our own fault not applying bug spray before, we had to turn back fairly soon. Reading the short poems was pleasant.

Questions & Answers

I was in this parking lot today. Where is the trailhead?

As you are looking at the parking lot from the road, the trail is to your left coming off the road. It is weird that it is not connected to the parking lot, but there is a plan to build a footbridge from the parking lot to the trail. I posted a picture from one of the signs showing smap of the black trail between the wetlands and the river.
