Went for a blood test on a Thursday (Sept 8) & found processes at the hospital very disorganized. At registration, I was told that the results would be faxed to my oncologist AND my primary doctor. At the blood draw station, however, I was informed that only the former, who had requested the test, was eligible to receive a fax. I was also informed that the results could be expected to be faxed by late afternoon of that very day. Failing that, for sure the very next day (Friday Sept 9). To my shock, my oncologist called on Tuesday next week because she was still waiting for the report!!!! I had to personally go to the hospital to pick up the report, drive to Office Depot, & do the faxing. Also, Ada general rule, your phone operators need better & more systemized information. For example, in July, I needed a test for tumor markers. It took 2 days of being bounced around from phone to phone before someone connected me with a nurse at the blood draw station who could confirm that, yes…………SMH d-o-e-s offer such a test!. This state of chaos In a hospital in USA in 2022? Surely not.

Great professional care with an added dose of a strong personal connection to the staff. My 2 nurses Lisa & Holly treated me with the care you would give a family member. I was in the cardiac unit on the 4th floor. I honestly felt like I was the only person on the floor! Wonderful experience at a very trying time!

My experience with Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Venice was very positive . I was greeted by a very friendly woman at the information desk and given directions to get to my destination. The hospital staff were all very friendly and professional and the hospital itself is always very clean and inviting.
