Any agency that are dealt with in Duval County would give a voucher or some other means of proof to the person who you are indebted to a place that I would try would be the (Emmett Reed Center if you..... ...call to make an appointment) they will help to assist. I am unfamiliar if you are from this Jacksonville metro area or not but there are three places in downtown Jacksonville actually five places in downtown Jacksonville that you can visit that can help you up to give you physical link to getting the assistance that you require.BUT !!!!! If you are on a deadline and you face the high likelihood of being evicted there is a way to keep your residence wow you either a find a new place to live or be come up with the rent or c if you feel that the place that you are living is not worth the rent that you are paying and is of substandard quality I would go to Jacksonville area legal aid they help me out with a landlord situation not only that if you are on a deadline they could help you.
You call in on Monday and if you make an appointment it is usually on Tuesday or Wednesday. It usually takes another couple days to work out the details with the landlord.
Try Catholic charity. Its downtown Jacksonville
Yes, DESC can provide financial assistance for security deposits. Referrals for services are coordinated by United Way's 211 and are limited each week. Once 211 sends the referral, a DESC case manager will reach out to you. You need an apartment or house already identified and working on a lease to begin the process.
DESC can help with overdue rent during the pandemic without an eviction notice, but you should have a letter or status from the landlord. Appointments are made on Monday starting at 9:30 by calling 904-358-7955 (lots of folks all call at once, so you're likely to get the voicemail, please keep trying). However, payment cannot be made that quickly. All financial assistance is handled remotely because of the virus (including check processing).

Davis St. Tuesday and Thursday 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. City Rescue Mission 234 W State St Community Closet Thursday 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Hi. Here is a summary. Eligibility Criteria Must meet one or more of the following conditions for DESC’s financial assistance: • School-age or younger children living in the household (children older than 18 and still in high school are included) • Over 65 years old • Have a documented disability and unable to work (social security disability other than social security documentation, workers’ compensation, hospital discharge papers, letter from doctor, etc.) You’re disqualified for DESC’s financial assistance if one of the below conditions is true. • Received financial assistance from DESC within the past five years • If you participate in JEA’s My Way program If you qualify, we take calls Monday mornings at 9:30. Because so many people call, it is hard to get through. I wish we had more funds to help more people!
