What is the qualification criteria if someone needs to ask for help with Utilities?

Hi. Here is a summary. Eligibility Criteria Must meet one or more of the following conditions for DESC’s financial assistance: • School-age or younger children living in the household (children older than 18 and still in high school are included) • Over 65 years old • Have a documented disability and unable to work (social security disability other than social security documentation, workers’ compensation, hospital discharge papers, letter from doctor, etc.) You’re disqualified for DESC’s financial assistance if one of the below conditions is true. • Received financial assistance from DESC within the past five years • If you participate in JEA’s My Way program If you qualify, we take calls Monday mornings at 9:30. Because so many people call, it is hard to get through. I wish we had more funds to help more people!
