Been a member of the Catholic church my whole life, donated my allowance when I was a kid to the " build the new church" fund. Here I am a strugglin newly single momma just trying to get my feet under me and I can't get any help. I guess I'm not poor enough. Maybe you need to be actually homeless to receive assistance from the biggest organization in the world.

I received the information I needed and in my language.

Very unfriendly staff, uncaring and rude. For a place that takes so much from the community as support you would think they would be nicer. My kids go to catholic school and church and we’re always giving. I went to them once and was made to feel as though I was the problem. Disappointed and I will not donate anymore here.

They help needy people, but their Caseworkers are not good people. Just waste people time, and sometimes times rude and disrespectful. Thumbs down 👎for caseworkers.

Call 211 now. They will ask for your zip. What area are you in. Also if you're in zip 32225. Please call or go up to Holy Spirit or Ft Caroline Baptist. If you call Arlington Community Services between 8am-10 am on Rogero they give food. But please call 211 now have pen ready. Arlington helps with last $100 of rent/lights I heard. City of Jax will help with both. It's off Art Museum. Thx
Look on google for the number hit ext.317 ann is awsome
You must provide proof of income and the reason why your income has the Milling diminished to qualify in order to get your bills paid the only way to get help if you have a table to qualify it's the call 211 on a Monday morning and ice for a referral they also like to see if you try other agencies for help with the rent too calling some calling 211 getting on the list with City welfare and Dec or Jewish families now if you are able to qualify to get help from Catholic Charities if they call you must answer the phone the first or the second time after that they would not call back that mean you will have to call 211 again on another Monday and get another referral to go back so every time your phone rings with a 904 number you must answer the phone
Catholic charities, Ecumenical services, possibly Salvation Army. They're all in that same area.

Thank you very much i appreciate you taking time to answer
Yes, but all of our referrals need to come from United Way 2-1-1. If you call them to explain your situation if you qualify they will offer a help.
It seems to me Catholic Charities does not answer the questions that people made by Web mail
We work with 211 to accept referrals, once you are referred to Catholic Charities, a caseworker will contact you to set up a time to meet with you. They will let you know what documents you will need before coming to the appointment.
You don't loose your time if you call 211 and ask.
Check with quest downtown. They will help you find a place for free if you've got underage children. They're located downtown just around the corner from Sulzbacher center. Sulzbacher may be able to help you as well. I've known people they've put in a hotel that have kids
Catholic Charities will direct you to the right resources
