This was a nice addition to a trip. It wasn't very busy but we didn't have to wait. He was perfectly willing to bring over 2 or 3 cars even though it's made to carry several more. Scenery was nonexistent but the river was beautiful anyway.

Yes will save about an hour
It's 14$ for under 14 feet total, not sure about anything longer.
To ride it is like 1.00 there and 1.00 back that is to walk. Then it is 14.00 a car load don't matter the amount of the people in the automobile. Then it takes like 15 mins their and 15 mins back.

This is the correct answer. These hours are until March 15. Then the last run is extended an hour. Here are the full hours for the year: The Dorena-Hickman Ferry hours of operation are based on the seasons. We run on demand except for the first and last runs of the day. The first run of each day from Kentucky is 7:00 am; the first run of each day from Missouri is 7:30 am. Last runs are as follows: December 1 - January 31---4:15 pm from Kentucky and 4:30 pm from Missouri February 1 - March 14 and October 15 - November 30---5:15 pm from Kentucky and 5:30 pm from Missouri March 15 - October 14---6:15 pm from Kentucky and 6:30 pm from Missouri
Yes, please check the Facebook page as it’s posted immediately there if the ferry has to close unexpectedly.
In June driving back from Marion, il. drove by and daughter got out saw sign and rang about 20 minutes later here it came was just a great ride took about 1'30" loved it from Missouri side
