Smaller airport, but that means that you can usually get through it much quicker than any larger airport in the area. Not a lot of amenities, but again, fast in, fast out.

This airport is a joke. Don't fly there. If you do, you will pay more than your airplane ticket for a taxi to get you to your destination. If you like direct flights to here, expect long delays and many cancelations cause of your cheap ticket. Also, the car rentals will be out of cars OR you'll have to go 45 minutes to Fort Myers to get that car that you made a reservation for.

Easy access and free one hour parking. Love this airport for quick pick ups. Departures and arrivals are always in time
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
Flights from Allegiant, Sun Country, and other airlines and private planes.
Don't think so, we are here often traveling and never seen them or advertised. We just take Lyft/Über
Yes it is government law
The short answer is no. The last 3 times that I flew allegiant know test was needed. They do take your temperature before going through the magnetometer.
They recommend being there 2 hrs before your flight. It depends on it you checked in ahead of time online.
10.00 or 11.00 $ a day.
Yes. Price ranges close dated from $133 to $244 from PGD to Concord/Charlotte USA
That's a better question for Allegiant airline
$700-$770, long term parking costs $10-$11 a day + tax
Learn more about food and concessions at PGD - https://www.flypgd.com/main-terminal/dining/
not sure. But it wasn't January 3rd cuz I picked up a friend there
Shuttle drivers have not been helpful. Walked in dark and in heat in daytime. perhaps could inform drivers or have a sign somewhere? Complained about this last Sept and never had a reply
Allegiant flies in there on Monday Wednesday Friday 3 days a week Kansas City to Punta Gorda is usually $59 one way. Hope this helps you?
Allegiant and only Allegiant. Frontier used to but they couldn't keep up and Allegiant is there now. We love flying them!! Easy peasy and frugal! This smaller airport is much nicer for those of us with mobility issues
Allegiant Airline s is the only carrier using PDG. They have over forty destination cities. Headquarters is in Las Vegas.
Walk from the plane to the terminal (follow the other passengers). Then follow the exit signs to the baggage claim area. The street is just outside.
In short term parking the 1st 2 hours are free so if you are dropping off or picking somebody up it works for that period otherwise in general parking or extended parking it is $11 per day. These were the prices one month ago
Contact the airline and arrange for a flight crew assistance. There will be a charge for this service. You will have to authorise someone to receive the child upon their arrival at the destination. The airlines are very cautious with children traveling alone.
You have to leave the terminal to use an outside ramp on the tarmac
Hahaha!! I took a soft side cooler with 13 pounds of seashells as my carryon! Not a problem at all!
$11 a day. $66 a week.
I'm not sure but you can look it up on their website
Allegiant really good only cancelled once in a while most of the time they have delays
I would call to be sure. You will probably have to make an appointment. No sure.
2 hours before your flight leaves.
Yes
One of the runways at the airport is under construction for the next year so the flight patterns are mostly coming in going out across the Charlotte harbor
I have not seen it. Uber Lyft or local taxi service. The beach is in close proximity to the airport
Why is that important to you unless you are a pilot? Just wondering
Check the Allegiant website
Just go to their web site
Not sure about long term but short term is free the first hour and a dollar an hour after that.
Check Allegiant Airlines, they are the only carrier out of Punta.
Clearly posted on airline websites nothing to do with airport personnel.
Yes I believe so.
You can bring snacks and stuff like that only if it's not opened, you won't be able to bring any beverage unless your already pass security and you buy it
If several flights are leaving within the same hour, which is usually the case for early morning flights, you should arrive two hours early to get through all the baggage check-in, security lines and boarding process. https://www.flypgd.com/travel-tip-arrive-2-hours-early-for-morning-flights/
https://www.flypgd.com/animals/
Haha. Punta Gorda Airport is a clean, safe, comfortable, basic airport. No bars, and no concessions whatsoever. Maybe there is a duty-free shop?
Fine in carry on or personal item. I didn't see the . at first
It's a small airport single story building 🤣 so the plane parks away from the building. A much better airport than the international airport. The only way to go when flying.
Also at the end of the runway there is a parking area
I don't think they have a Not non stop flight to Minnesota. Have to go thru Chicago or another airport
There's 1 hr. free parking 2 & only $1/hr.
It isn't. There is a 10:53 flight from Grand Rapids coming in today. Allegiant or rental car services may choose not to be open for sales/rentals.
They are in the process of making a very large parking lot south west by the airport. Don't know when it will be completed. Looked like it was about ready for paving.
They have every major car rental companies enterprise Hertz budget and a few more
I don't think there are any airlines out of Punta Gorda that go to any airport in Utah
$11 per day $65 per week maximum flypgd.com
Thx for the info
Online is always best. You can do anything from your mobile app foe allegiant
Alamo I believe
You dont. You get down off a duck.
You need to give your known traveler number to the airline it must be associated with your ticket in order for the airline to grant you tsa precheck. The airline can also help with carry on questions
Not that I know of, maybe check other airports in your area? Check Allegiants website
I was gone for three days and parked in long term so it's $9 per hour
I've never had to use shuttle to or from this airport, but you can call the hotel of your choice, to see if they have shuttle service.
Uber and lyft. Check with your hotel about a shuttle
Closest airport that this goes to is Flint
There are no direct flights, you should fly to Miami as a first stop.
Thank you for the feedback. We have heard this comment before, and will eventually replace them during the next expansion or improvement project. We appreciate your understanding and patience.
Google maps will tell you, give you routes, tolls, accident and delays
Supply and demand. Seasonal rentals will always be more than during the off season. Same with purchasing flights.
200 ft distance... just bring your shoes :)
Not through the airport. Uber, lyft
90 min before flights
Yes, but the first 2hrs is free in short term parking, which is right by the entrance.
Nearly all major car rental companies are represented here. Uber and Lift are also available, as well as a new contractor taxi service, which looks legit.
None
Go to the PGD website and call the main number. It also depends on where you lost your item. (In the airport, at security, on the plane, etc.)
$65 weekly, $11 daily. https://www.flypgd.com/parking-and-directions/
no
An airport attendant (usually in a bright yellow vest) will gladly transport you to your vehicle upon request. They are usually posted curbside by arrivals.
Sarasota is about 90 minutes north and Fort Myers is about 40 minutes south.
Sorry I couldn't get to you I hope you were taking care of.
At this point that does not appear to be an Allegiant destination. https://www.allegiantair.com/
Please visit https://www.flypgd.com/airport-authority/employment/
Please see this link for employment opportunities https://www.flypgd.com/airport-authority/employment/
I don't think I noticed that service. Pretty sure that's a no. However, you could check with the airports you're connecting to. They tend to be larger and offer more services.
Most air carriers require ID for all traveling passengers over the age of 2. (When an infant can no longer be claimed as a "lap child") TSA only requires ID for passengers who are 18+. A simple birth certificate will suffice.
As seen on their website, where you would get destination info; YES
No, no Customs here at PGD. All flights are domestic.
There's a restaurant outside and a place once you get past security to get regular soft drinks, water they even have a bar.
Yes, upon request (and maybe a fee) Allegiant does have wheelchair assistance with skycaps working the lobby. The airplanes have a ramp system, which is wheelchair accessible, although its usually a two-person job since it's at a 30 incline. Most gate agents will also assist patrons who have difficulty negotiating the concourse. Just ask either the ticket counter or the hate agent working the flight for help.
Parking is free to all U.S. 100% disabled military veterans. If you are onsite and have proper documentation, please call 941-815-1018 for ticket validation. Once you’ve exited the parking lot, call 941-639-1101 x100 to apply for a refund.
Yes, as long as the ticket purchased has their name on the boarding pass, they can retrieve their pass from the ticket counter or electronically thru allegants boarding pass app.
There are no direct international flights from this airport. PGD services domestic flights only from this location.
Not sure I do know that they fly to Albany and Syracuse
go to your airline counter...they will bring one
It's up to the airline regarding granting you a gate pass to assist someone to/from the gate. Understand that you will have to proceed thru security as well, so come early. TSA does not grant gate passes. You will also be required to present ID.
I believe it's 2 hours prior to the first flight of the day so just arrive 2 hours prior to your own flight. No later.
Just looking for ride as we have car in Estero. Any idea what is cost of Uber or Lyft to Estero
You can get on with no id. It just takes longer. Tell Tsa you have no id and they have ways of verifying your identity
Restaurant outside to right of entry before going in or a small bar top area once in termial that serves sandwiches and Such. Also able to get adult beverages along with sodas & Water. The better option is the restaurant outside before going into the airport.
Allegiant is the only airline in/out of Punta Gorda airport. Go to Allegiant.com and plug in your days. Price varies daily like any airline.
Air Trek is sn excellent private charter service onsite. Www.airtrek.cc
Worldwide Flight Services
go to alligeants page
There is a free parking for 2 hours in front of the terminal.
Here is a list of rental car companies here at PGD https://www.flypgd.com/parking-and-directions/rental-car-information/
If your bag was searched by a TSA agent, a notification was placed inside your bag. On the back should be contact information. The front should contain information about the officer who checked your bag - badge number, date and time your bag was searched.
Allegent was first then they pulled out. Then another airline moved in for a very short time Then Allegiant came back and has been there ever since.
Racetrack right after the 75 overpass on the left.
It depends on where you store the bag on the plane. If your carry on bag will fit under the seat in front of you it's free. If you store the bag in the overhead bin I believe the charge is $25.00. It depends on the size of the bag.
You can have one personal carry-on bag that is 7 inches wide 15 inches high and 16 inches long you can also purchase a carry-on bag for $18
All that is posted on the website check it out.
There is no taxi stand at PGD. I suggest you use Uber or Lyft. You will probably have to call in advance.
Security ,TSA, will not allow liquids over three ounces. I have also seen food items confiscated, like jars of food. Personel items like toothpaste, perfume and shave cream. Keep everything under three ounces.
It's a mixture of arrival times... Some are early i.e. before noon, some later. It depends where the flight originates from and flight durations. If there are not enough street lights going to the airport, take it up with the county/airport. It should be their responsibility.
The closest gas stations are at exit 161, Jones Loop, off I--75. There is no gas station directly at the airport.
I'm pretty sure when you rented your car there was pickup and return place I would call the corresponding rental car place and ask them
Thank you everybody. Appreciated have to pick my granddaughter up from spirit. Guess i have to park in long term since i have to go in??
Your car might be impounded if you leave it in an unmarked space (the grass). you know that, or you would not be asking! Call the airport authorities, they know about the cars.
40lb limit according to signs and website now for checked baggage. Anything more and it's a $50 fee
There are no hotels within walking distance of the airport. Four Points Hotel is about four miles from the airport. Hire a cab or Uber to get to the downtown area of Punta Gorda.
I don't think so because it's right in front of the arrival & departures it's really within 50 to 75 ft of the front door
definately arrive at least 2 hours prior. when I was there last time the check in and security lines were crazy long. our flight left around 630 am as well. we came the night before and stayed close to the airport the night before at Americas Best Value Inn & Suites
I make it a point to get there 2 hours before flight is scheduled. The lines can be very long and time consuming at times.
No, the runways are too short to accommodate that large an airplane.
That's what Google search is for.
The terminal is open 24 hours. The bag check should be available three hours before your flight. You should check you bags no later than 2 to 1.5 hours before your flight and then go through TSA security.
Car rental place to the right of the terminal walking distance 50 ft
Yes, I believe you reserve that with the airlines.
If you mean Branson thdy do not fly there. Springfield MO is the airport for Branson.
TSA does not allow any liquid s, gels, ointments or oils in excess of three ounces. I would think it should be packed in checked baggage.
You will have to make your own transportation from the airport to St. James City. Uber is available at the airport.
Yes, but only on certain days Flights to/from PGD and BNA (Nashville) are only on Sundays and Thursdays starting in June.
From the airport take Jones Loop Road pass 75 North and South there are plenty of hotels in that area
The terminal is open 24/7. TSA opens at 4:00 am . You should at the airport 1 1/2 hours to check in .
Use the restaurant on the right outside of terminal. Only option unless u stop b 4 getting to airport.
I have searched Google, just wanted input from humans graco rob, thanks Double Pete
From PGD head south on US 41. Lee Memorial Hospital is 23.5 miles down on the right.
Check their site!
there's a little place right there too- not fancy but it was good - we ate lunch before we caught our flight home
You cannot fly to Jacksonville from there. You have to go to one of the other airports around there, i.e. RSW, TPA, etc. Flying within Florida can cost you as much or more than flying Chicago, New York or Los Angeles! Unless there is a reason why you are not able to drive, it sure does not pay to fly to Jacksonville.... To go by car is a 4,5 hour drive from Punta Gorda. If you fly, you have to drive for instance to Fort Myers Airport (ca. 40Min.), Be there 2hrs in advance, that's already 2 hrs 40 min. Then you have the flight, and you are landing at the airport, wait for your luggage, then you have to be picked up or take a cab..... A flight from Fort Myers to Jacksonville is at least 300 Dollars... But if money and time is an object, you could explore a bus line... or ask a friend to bring you there... Rent a car (if you have a license).
You should be at the boarding gate about 45 minutes before the scheduled takeoff. I would arrive at the airport 60 to 75 minutes early.
Punta Gorda airport is super busy first thing in the morning. I recommend at least one hour before the boarding time indicated in your boarding pass.
Allegient. That's the only airline.
Not at present.
Reservations Center/Customer Care: (702) 505-8888 Baggage Service Office: (866) 719-3910 Lost and Found: (866) 719-3910 Teletypewriter (TTY): (702) 430-3283 Weather Advisories: (702) 719-8111 Due to the current high demand for Allegiant travel deals call wait times can be greater than: 30 Minutes
No. The only airline that flys in and out of PGD be is Allegiant Airlines.
Yes
I have no idea, but I CAN tell you, don't expect the Subway in the airport to EVER be open!😳
It depends on how long you leave your vehicle. For short term the first two hours are free. Long term charges $65.00 per week. Determine how long you will leave your car and then ask the question.
Alligiant airlines is the only one. They fly several flights to major cities each day. Check with reservations.
Yes it is just across the street in front if the terminal.
Yes, it costs $65.00 per week.
It does fill at times. Parking is then routed to adjacent grassy
You can look this up on the internet. Long term parking is $11.00 per day. Weekly max is $65.00. it is best to hire someone to drive you there or look on the internet for cheap parking.
They can make bacon, egg, and cheese sandwhiches but not much more.
I saw only Allegiant planes at PG airport
Yes you can park at the airport long term, no other options that i am aware of
Yes, and if you fly Allegiant you can reserve your car at tge same time you buy your ticket online.
The Airport is open and Allegiant will resume operation Wednesday 9-13 see Allegiant website for details So you should be good for Thursday.
