California DMV Now Kiosk

I am a AAA member but I showed the reviews and issues to the welcome desk person and he said that must have been a mistake! Anyone is welcome to use it, but non-members pay $3 extra (the kiosk asks if you're a member and asks to scan your card). That's cool. :) However, the problems started at the payment. For such a high 2.2% card fee, you'd think they'd have their stuff straight! The card reader is super janky and took six (!!) tries across 3 repeated sessions (it disables your ability to pay with a card if it can't read the card twice). So, overall a fairly frustrating experience compared to the flawless experience I had last year at a DMV Now kiosk in a Safeway. Would probably just go to a Safeway kiosk next year. The people were super nice though!

They required to be a AAA costumer before using the machine. Why would I want to be costumer of such bad reputation insurance company?
