I went here for my driving test the other day and it was a roughly nice experience. Other than my nervousness making me stress out before the test, the test overall was really nice. I had a very nice man with me for my driving test and he was very clear and if there was confusion he would help me with it. Some of the roads were closed or had construction which made it a little tricky for the test and made me nervous but overall it was a fast and easy test. To be honest, i had a harder time taking the written exam rather than the driving test. Overall, a very nice experience.

I accompanied my niece to get her driver's permit. She had all her necessary documents so the overall process was straightforward. 5 stars. She was given a paper by the staff near the door entrance and was told to go the computers to the left and complete a form. Afterwards, she returned to the same desk near the entrance and was given a number. When her number was called, she had her vision checked, paid $39 for a permit . Then we walked over to the "Camera" line to get her picture taken. Secondly, she went to the same computers for the exam. The 1 star is for the clerk @ the test counter. My niece wanted to view her permit exam questions. She handed my niece, 1 page at a time but while she was still looking at the first page, the staff member had the 2nd page already on the counter as if in a non verbal manner- to hurry up! I told my niece to take her time but she's too nice and said she was done reviewing it. I asked the clerk a few other questions. Her mannerisms and response to my questions were short and quick. I don't expect her to blow sunshine up where it doesn't shine but brush up on the customer service skills. It was around 2pm and the test line was empty so there was need for her to rush to help another customer. I had this overwhelming feeling of Deja Vu! It brought me back when I was in boot camp! We were treated worse than cattle. While walking away, mirroring her mannerism I looked at her directly, and said, "Thank you , enjoy the rest of your day and Thank you for your service, Ma'am!

A driver tester named RUBEN is beyond insane. He is not normal and I am never the one to complain but people who get a road test done with him will agree this man is crazy. He is yelling at you calls you deaf tells you there is something wrong with you and much more. He is worse then an army Sargent and I am not even exaggerating. DMV has recieved many complaints about him they need to take appropriate action and remove him immediately. Witnesses are present for his behavior.

Lines are usually short and the service is quick. Got my Real ID here and paid for my vehicle registration. The best DMV !! Never experienced quick service in the decades I have been at the California DMV.
Thanks! Your review is awaiting moderation.
NO, it does not open at 7:00 a.m. you should gather outside their closed front door at approximately 7:00 a.m. to be serviced shortly after 8:00 a.m. hope that helps
11/01/19 are you open tomorrow
Of course.!
Oscar Lopez I do not work for the DMV and I do not know exactly the procedure or regulations of this institution, but I suppose that if you can do it, most people make their changes when they move. It is best to inform you directly with the office, but if I recommend the Office located in Santa Teresa.
my god this is true priscilla Garcia
Yes. You can. Go around 4:00 PM on a Friday. Best time with few lines. Good luck!
Yes, but the first appointment available is in late May. Good luck!
Every Saturday this one is open. Has been since June and will be until further notice
DLC = driver license compact. Best to call or go in to find out.
Do I can change my appointment time? But in that day.
No. You must have an appointment to take a behind-the-wheel driving test
Helps if you have a DMW website login shows all you scheduled appts
Until 3.30 after 4 you cannot give written test
Study the dmv booklet.
No.
Not open Saturday
No
Appointments help, but the wait here isn't that bad without one. I'd bring an umbrella in-case you have to wait outside...
Yes. DMV website says cash, check, credit card, debit card, and money order are accepted.
Only appointment
Far as I know yes but you can go online and find out which DMV and they'll explain more to you got a little virtual assistant that can help you
Yes they are open
Well let's not be lazy now.. that answer could have easily been found. Yes it is with "holiday" hours. So give them a call or handle what you need to online.
You can go to the website and they have an area yo renew your DL/ID, apply for the real ID, registration, etc. Then just put your DL# in and pay. Or the day before it expires you can go down and get it done that way. That's if the whole Covid thing is lifted by then. It may just be easier to do the request online, if you don't need an updated picture. Hopefully this helps.
Also, check with the dealership where you bought the car or the person from whom you purchased it and make sure THEY have sent all the paperwork they needed to send.
Yes
Monday and Friday
Yes, the behind-the-wheel tests are still done with a DMV tester. They just make you roll the front windows down.

What information i need to get a real license .
I think so. I'm not sure
Sorry, closed on weekends. Come on Friday instead. Arrive at 4:20 PM to ensure that you get processed. Usually no lines at that time.
There's instructions on it's website. Need to fill out the form and pay for a duplicate. If you want to use your license for travel, then there's a whole list of additional documentation that big needed. Good luck!
Recently went through this with my daughter - Appointment is required!

If you don't want to stand in line for hours, then I would make an appointment.
https://www.dmv.ca.gov/portal/dmv/detail/pubs/newsrel/newsrel14/2014_54
No. But you can try.
Not advised. You might have to wait a very long time.
I would get an appointment. Although I do not know for certain, it *might* humor a walk in if the place is empty. But having my office within spitting distance of the DMV, I can say with confidence that it is almost never empty. Just make an appointment.
Printed intruction boọklets for car registration, applying for driver licenses, are avaiable at the front desk at most DMV. You can ask DMV personnel at this frontdesk.
Best to see if someone else can still take you. You can always arrive early and explain your situation, but no guarantee. I wouldn't arrive late.
If you are in the country as a permanent resident longer than 12 days (look up the code for the exact number of days, but it is a small window), then you must get a California Driver's License to operate a vehicle in California. That was the law 15 years ago. I doubt that it has changed. So, you are not legal until you do.
You can try. Usually appointments are several weeks in advance.
Yes. Online.
Make sure that the DMV listed is the Santa Teresa DMV. Also check the date. Perhaps it is for August but you're looking at a calendar in July? If all is good, then try calling the DMV to confirm.
If it's a renewal, then you should be able to register online. Give it a try. Good luck!
Dmv website
Correct. You have very few days LEGALLY to do so. I believe it is around 12. Best to get started immediately. Good luck!
My 84 yr old Mom took the practice tests too and yes they helped her pass. But you need to study the book since some new information is added. Most of the questions are common sense and you get the option to take the test on the pc.
The Dmv Kiosk machines or Dmv authorized Centers are the only ones open on the weekend.
No direct phone number.. Online appointments are set individual locations at Ca.gov
I don't think so... they will send you toTraffic School. You have to go thru the website ca.gov... hope this helps
Only handicapped.. There's a separate line for Appointments and Non-Appointments
She would have to go to the DMV to get a temporary replacement until a new drivers license arrives in the mail. Cost about $35 I believe
No the best bet is to go down there if you make an appointment it's like a month away
Yes. Absolutely.
No the insurance and registration has to be in same name
I recommend for you to call, and ask why is taking so long.
DMV appointments can be made on the DMV website at dmv.ca.gov . (Please don't type in all caps in the future. It's quite rude.)
1-You need to go to local dmv to you. 2-fill out a driver license or Identification card Application (Form DL44). 3- Provide proof of residency,SSN,Identity. 4- Pay the $27 duplicate license fee. I hope those 4 easy steps will help!
Might have got lost in the mail
Online, use Google maps and use the 'bus/light rail' button, like this: ask Google for DMV Santa Teresa, then in the google page result, look on the right side of screen that gives information about Santa Teresa DMV, and look for 'Directions' there, & click Directions; on the map that shows up, look on the left side blue panel beside that map, and put your address on the top line in that blue panel (has an 'o' beside that line), and click on the 'bus/light rail' symbol at the top of that blue panel (between car & pedestrian symbols). You should get bus/light rail directions in the white panel below the blue one, and the map should show you the route it takes. Notice that there are different routes which can be selected in the white panel, and to get details you have to click on one of them. You might want to print these directions out to have while following them.
You have to call and ask for the title in Tallahassee.
