I had to pay an extra fee of $4.00 because I used the Kiosk in at a AAA site. Would have liked to know that before I went. Otherwise, there was no line at 9:30am on a Tuesday and the process was rather painless.

This is a AAA agency where you have a membership. There is a DMV Now Kiosk available for use as well as customer service agents. Joan greeted us at the front door as there were only 8 persons allowed in at a time at any given time. This is a Saturday with limited hours. She is personable, friendly and very helpful assisting us with the kiosk. We received our renewal tags quickly and efficiently with Joan's assistance. Thank you Joan for being Stellar, you Rock!!

Assuming you bought a used vehicle, you should check the DMV.ca.gov website to make sure you have all of the neccessary documents needed and to check the DMV hours of service.
