Can’t ever see the bison or elk because you can’t feed them.
Mister Ak
No animal out

Me and my kids used to come here all the time to feed the elk carrots. Sadly they don't let them out anymore. Every time we come now the Bison and the elk are nowhere to be seen. It's still a nice area though, very clean. We just had a picnic there the other day and enjoyed the nature.

This is one of our favorite, free attractions around eastern Kansas City metro area. Peaceful, serene and a great chance to commune with wildlife while still being close to everything the city has to offer.

Animals are behind a second interior fence so unfortunately you cannot feed the animals. :(
Last I heard was because of covid, I'm not sure if they'll allow it again once the restrictions are lifted or not but I'm hoping so.
New USDA regulations do not allow the feeding of the animals anymore. Most of the time the animals are being pastured in a way to keep them away from the fence, because people keep feeding them, despite all the signs that say not to.
No they have posted signs saying we can't anymore. And I think they even have electric wire to keep them from coming to fence.
As long as it is light out people are visiting the elk and bison.
Yes, there are two tables and ports potty facilities.
