Great place for a hike and scenic views. Various trails to choose from.

The main trail is an easy hike perfect for young kids and dogs. The road is nicely paved and wide. If you like challenges, there are lots of harder trails. There is a tower at the top. The view is beautiful.

Sleeping Giant is a great State Park. Lovely hike. Great coverage so its very shady and cool! Hike in total if you follow the main trail is 3 miles. Its a steep hike up but an easy walk down!

We did the hiking trail and it was fun. Great way to see the foliage up close.

If you are out of CT then you pay but if you are from CT you do not pay
It's UFO now go back to bed jane
It also depends on the trail you take. You can take the white or blue trails if you're a more experienced hiker, or you can take the gravel walkway to the top. There are an amazing set of cliffs if you're willing to go around the back, though at points it is hand over foot climbing. 100% worth it if you can make it!
I didn't see any biking trails its something you have to hike but there are different hiking trails. Some are harder then others and others easier. I even think you can climb up.
I did it back in the day with a toddler, a baby in a stroller with a dog on a leash. Not bad at all.
The State Park if free to Connecticut residents. All State Parks are. You pay the 15 dollar fee with your registration. Out of state plates pay $15 to park.
There are restrooms (I'm not sure about tents), but it is still closed from tornado damage
Yes, the castle is the same as an ovservation tower. Other trails could get you there, but most direct is the Tower Path (marked dark grey on the map). I would say it's closer to a 45 minute walk each way. As others noted, the park remains closed for maintenance. Please see the DEEP or SGPA.org website for updates.
You cant bring a dog now because its closed due to the storm but when it reopens u probably can
