I donated a lot of clothes off at Salvation Army on Dixwell Ave. Hamden. I was very disappointed in their acceptance of my donation, I was told to throw them in a basket in front of the store. Hopefully it won’t rain before someone feels like taking them inside. I will donate to goodwill going forward.

I LOVE this store! The staff have always been nice to me & understanding if I have to put back items while at the register. I have major sensory issues & this store makes me feel at home. I spend anywhere from $40 to $60 each trip & walk out with wonderful clothing items. I'll always return here. Thank you to the staff all of you are so sweet!

Great finds, you just have to take the time to go thru the clothes to find what you like and in your size. It was allot better a year and a half ago the shoes were organized by size now there just scattered throughout the store. There's no organization so it's hard to find what you are lookong for and the prices went up Allot! However, I found some nice things it just took some time. Go check it out!!💜😉

great selection of (useless, since they’re all scratched) cds and movies. Store in general is VERY disorganized and you can’t look through anything without making stuff fall. There’s a small section near registers where stuff looks good and cheap. Besides that all the clothes there looks horrible, dirty, and ripped. Furniture is okay. Books/games is a total miss

Yes they are still open. I just think they are probably closed for a while cause of the virus that is going around.
Yes they do
If you want 2 sell your clothes and get paid 4 it. There is a store in Hamden by Shop&Shop call planet Closet and they pay you 4 your clothes.
Go to the store and inquire I'm sure they will let you volunteer to work Salvation Army is a nonprofit organization they are there to help others less fortunate
Sorry you have to take it yourself
Yes
You can call them and ask cause i don't work their.
Yea. No oil or gasoline filled though. No combustible.
Not quite. They accept clothing, shoes, good furniture without any major issues, no particle boards though, and other household items. They do not take AC units or fridges.
