Very disappointed with the location and ALJ Jack D. McCarthy. My hearing was 4-4-2018 at the Kansas City Office Of Disability Adjudication and Review building, Was told from everyone there plus my representative that I will be getting ALJ Jack D. McCarthy decision in the mail within 60 to 90 days. I thought cool almost completely finished with everything. So on 7-4-2018 2 days before and a week after the 4th of July I kept an eye on the mailbox. And today's date is December 17, 2018 and still keeping an eye on mailbox but ALJ Jack D McCarthy still has not made a decision on my case. I guess that's why he gets paid $175,100. A year as long as he is collecting a check like that screw us little guys that sit I sever pain that not even pain pills can relieve about to be kicked out of where I am staying because this has dragged out this long so me and my 2 kids have to live out on the streets homeless. ALJ Jack D McCarthy will never have to experience any of what I'm going threw nor being homeless. God will judge you for what I am going threw cause you want to take sooooo long toake a decision.

I had my appeal hearing three days ago. It was incredibly stressful but my judge was very patient and seemed to be understanding. If you have a case hearing coming up, make sure you have your state ID or you will NOT be able to enter. Also, arrive at least 30 minutes early so your lawyer can consult with you. Be clear when speaking in front of the judge and loud enough so the Mic can record you. Try to be as detailed as possible. Honesty is a major key here! The judges know if you're being sincere or not! Wear comfortable, casual clothing. Just have common sense..No big logos, alcohol/drug references, etc. If you feel overwhelmed during the hearing, tell the judge or your lawyer right away! They will stop for a break. Water is provided during the hearing. Some of the questions are tough and if you need them repeated, say so. Just remember to be honest! My hearing took just over an hour. It wasn't easy at all but I made it through. You can too! Good luck!

Mine was March 5th and the judge made a decision on September, 20th. Either contact your lawyer or SSA. I was able to create an account at ssa.gov and found the decision there. Good luck!
