We stayed here a few times last year. What a big disappointment this year. The elevator was dirty, trash on the floor. Got in the room, we had no towels, coffee, and no microwave. The ac made excessive noise. Told man on duty about microwave, he said some rooms don't have them. No coffee and no breakfast because of Covid. Exercise room was also closed due to Covid. Parking lot was also trashy. Big disappointment, will not stay here again.

I got there Saturday and the man behind the desk told me the systems were down and he could only take cash. He said, "go get.. like a hundred dollars and I'll give you a room. Then proceeded to disrespect and berate me. I left and got a different hotel for the night. Today, I was charged for a hotel room I didn't stay in. I called the hotel to dispute it and was informed that the guy at the desk was PRETENDING TO WORK THERE AND ROBBING PEOPLE. I was also told that a "third party" is charging people online. Currently disputing the charge woth the booking company.

First they said it was overbooked a hour after check in. We left our phone number to see if the room would be ready in time. 10 minutes later we get a call from the manager guaranteeing us a room. We told them we were on the way to a Brewers game and couldn’t check in until late. He said that was fine as the room was now fully reserved for us. We show up around 11 and they give us a key to our room and there is someone else in there. They then tell us they can’t refund us and that there’s nothing they can do. Absolutely the worst experience I have ever had and would never recommended this hotel to anyone as they clearly have no idea what they are doing. I wish I could give less than 1 star…

When we pulled up to check in, the police were in front of the hotel which did not make us feel very comfortable. And what looked like a couple of staff members sitting outside smoking. There was nobody at the front desk to assist us when we walked in the door. And when he did come out from the back room I felt like we were bothering him. There was no breakfast as mentioned on the website, just a handwritten note about no breakfast being available due to Covid. When we got up to our room, the key card barely worked. The room was dirty, the ceiling in the bathroom was falling down, there was toilet paper stuck to the wall about 5 feet above the toilet, and I was sneezing the whole time I was there (possibly due to what I believe may have been mold in the bathroom). There was also no hot water when I took my shower. We didn't feel comfortable staying, so the very next day we made other arrangements. When we went to check out, the person again wasn't at the front desk, he was outside the front of the building talking to someone so we walked outside and handed him our key cards and told him we were checking out. That was 2 days ago and I still haven't been credited the price of the 4 days that we didn't stay. When I called to follow up today, I was told that we were still showing as checked in. I feel that I'll be lucky if we ever see our refund. Very disappointed.

Most motels say min of 18 but they require a debit or credit card and a basic charge of usually $50 to $75 which is refunded the next day. It will depend on the room rate and location. If it's a basic or low budget hotel you might use cash.
The rates vary from weekdays and weekends. I have stayed there for three nights for as low as $70 a night. You don't need a credit card but it will help if you do have one. If not then cash is ok too. If there's a Super-8 in the area I would check them as well for rates. I paid cash there twice and did not have to leave a deposit.
