This place looks small from the outside yet it's huge from the inside. The women's and men's bathrooms were both impeccably spotless and well stocked. The decor is cute and nostalgicaly old school, loved that the waitresses were all in vintage uniforms. The restaurant was very clean, the staff worked well together and the flow from waiting to ordering was smooth and timely. Loved the quality of ingredients stated in back of menu and when the food arrived it showed! The prices are fair for the quality and portions. Appreciated that they offered an herbal iced tea (it was an unsweetned red zinger today), the kids shared a dry aged porch chop w/ black eyed peas, 3 cheese macaroni with a corn muffin (they ate a large portion of it, leaving only the macaroni as it was very rich), i had the tuna salad sandwich with onions added on sourdough + a side a fries, it was fantastic! My husband had the chicken pot pie with collard greens and black eyed peas - the whole meal was a hit! This will be our new go to location from now on! I also loved that on one end of cafe they have a market with a hot grab and go section and desserts! Definitely a good idea of you want a good meal for the road or picnic! Will be returning and recommending!

Love this restaurant. Fresh, delicious southern comfort food. Collard greens & real corn muffins today were the best I have ever tasted! Squash casserole was just perfect and flavorful. Green beans were amazingly delicious. Southern Fried chicken was full of flavor & tender with crisp batter. The servers are quick & friendly. Price range is on target. Worth the wait.

This legendary landmark restaurant is always consistent with the food. The staff is ALWAYS outstanding! In my opinion the best breakfast in town. LOVE IT! Also if you are lucky you will catch a celebrity, or well known figure or tv personality dining there😇

I did not realize until last night that the OK Cafe serves beer and wine. They offer just one Chardonnay and one Merlot, each $7.99, but the friend who was with me was happy to see that on the menu. We enjoyed the shaved onion rings before our meal of salmon croquettes. We enjoyed all the sides, but the kale salad was especially good.

Country style, mashed potatoes, pole beans, mac n' cheese, etc. Rolls, biscuit, or cornbread ... ALL GOOD
I'm not sure if there is a head chef eather. The food is Cafe type but everything I have ever had has been very good.
I think so.
I didn't find the containers heavyweight and I don't think that you could bring a used container back to a restaurant. Health codes and all.
They serve breakfast from Oren to close. You can also find some breakfast items in the carryout section.
Thats a pretty broad question. If you're a person thats afraid of their own shadow, probably not up to snuff for you. If you're a person that understands every time you walk out your door you assume a certain degree of risk, then they do a great job.
They are currently showing open until 12am on Easter. I would call ahead before driving.
Their website indicates they will be open on Easter. I would call ahead to verify hours as they may be curtailed.
Around $15 a person, but they do take Debit and credit cards. The person who said cash only is wrong.
They don't open on 24th and 25th Dec.
They are closed Thanksgiving day but they do have a Turkey dinner I am sure will be available before and maybe after
Yes Sweetwater Beer and a few wines
