Friday 7/15 I picked up a Ford Transit for 7 days returning Saturday 7/23, During our pick up the car seemed in good condition other than a slight smell, given it was night and dark in the lot upon further inspection the vehicle is absolutely filthy, broken seat belts (Safety hazard for passengers and a liability for the company). This vehicle was rented for a family vacation, my passengers are appalled by the state the van is in, we’ve had to add towels to every sit to avoid the discuss of the seats. As a loyal customer to Family Auto Rental of over 6 years this situation was extremely upsetting not only the condition of the car rather disregard of Family Auto Rental to provide this vehicle for rental. This is no way to conduct business and frankly as a customer I would not rental again. Upon my discovery and to express my concern I called 6 times straight to voicemail, with insistence I was able to speak to a gentleman who advised the manager was not on duty until Monday. He also expressed yes the vehicle is old and not in good condition, and he wasn’t sure why it was allowed to rented in this condition he also advised the company is waiting on a new shipment of cars, this is unacceptable I rented a car with the expectation of it being in good condition, especially for the price, if this vehicle is not suitable for rental why advertise it is my question? The vehicle works fine it’s the condition the filth that the company has control over! It’s been 3 days after several phone calls and an email I am yet to be contacted in reference to this. This will unfortunately will be the last time I rent with Family this situation is horrendous!

Only large companies have the documentation and service to get vehicles out of the state of Florida. You have to think that it's a combination of permits and state taxes. And this is not the case with Family.
