Terrible. $39.99 for admission... its extra for rides, activities, food , beverages. You are able to bring empty water bottles to fill at their water fountain and it tastes absolutely awful. I have been to 2 other Renaissance Faires that were absolutely spectacular... this was definitely lacking.

The shows are not as great as they use to be. Its really annoying that you have to buy tickets with cash because they dont take cards and then use the tickets to purchase food, its a pain. I guess its worth a trip for a one time visit.

Was really pleasantly surprised with the Faire and the experience was really authentic. The grounds are extensive and there are plenty of shows every half hour. We thoroughly enjoyed all of them including jousting. Will definitely come back next year.

My favorite Ren Fair, probably the biggest in the area too.

As long as you're okay with some mud! Honestly, you breathe in less of the dirt that gets kicked up all day if you go after it rains 😜
they do have custom chainmail all handmade to fit. And cloth. No actual metal tops or bottoms though unfortunately.
The Faire was founded in 1982 by the late Richard Shapiro and his wife Bonnie, who ran the original "King Richard's Faire" in Bristol, Wisconsin (which was renamed Bristol Faire when the Shapiros sold it to Renaissance Entertainment Corporation in 1988).
From the website: "KING RICHARD’S FAIRE WEAPONS POLICY King Richard’s Faire bans guns of any type on our premises. Any weapon adornment must be “peace-tied” or sheathed and otherwise protected so any sharp edges are covered, so it cannot be drawn or wielded while on the grounds. Due to the wide variety of potential “weapons” each item is handled on a case-by-case basis when the patron enters. We advise that you do not wear weapons as costume adornments. Security personnel will monitor the wearing of weapons on the festival grounds. A violation of our weapons policy may result in the confiscation of any weapon. King Richards Faire, Inc. reserves the right to exclude a patron/participant from carrying or wearing a weapon." You should be fine. But everything is case by case.
Varies One person can get away with a $15-20 meal (in food tickets) but if you want a blooming onion that alone is 10 tickets (1 ticket=$1) and doesn't come with anything else (it is a giant onion though) so it linda depends on what you want. Generally meals like chicken tenders and fries is around 10 tickets I have seen some at 12 & 15 ( I think, 15, for fish and chips) Waters are 4/5 (depending on what booth you use). soda is 5. alcohol is 8 per 6oz cup (bring ID in with you, there is no re-entry)
Yes
$39 for adults
That’s all done.
Thank you for the question. This year is our 40th Anniversary Season! WEEKENDS SEPTEMBER 4th – OCTOBER 24th, 2021 Including: Monday, September, 6th Labor Day & October 11th Columbus Day Gates open 10:30am & close at 6:00pm
No,unfortunately. They are doing drive in movies instead.
We are closed this season.
Box office is cash only but you can buy online w/credit card. Most vendors take credit cards. Food tickets are cash only in $5 increments.
Yes . Variety of wares. From clothing to food and other items .
I'm not sure. I know that one of the days is free for Carver residents. I read it on the website.
I think $38 for a full day of live performances on eight stages is a fair price for all you can experience right here in Massachusetts. Also, the Faire gives away tickets every Friday on the Facebook page- give that a try!
Check the website for hours and ticket information
$32 this year, box office is cash only, there's an atm just inside front gate if you forget to pull cash before arrival
This Sunday is Military Appreciation Day. Tickets are free for Military, Police, Firemen & EMS with a Government issued ID.
For 2018: Adult (Ages 12- 64) $32 Senior (Ages 65+) $30 Children (Ages 4- 11) $16 **Children 3 and under free and do not require a ticket**
They have scanners for that purpose. We had tickets in emal. Ensure you get a stamp at the exit for re-entry.
Yes to both questions
Yes. They sell a wide variety of weapons, clothing and other Renaissance items
I think 36 for adults and 28 for kids. The prices are on the website and tickets are available for sell online as well. I recommend buying online, otherwise it's cash and a wait at the entrance.
Yes, but they don't allow outside food or drink. Just a heads up.
No re-entry if you want the mead, bring your ID. They might allow you out for something needed (like something for a child or medication) but they will NOT let you out for your ID. Their take on it is: be prepared, they card everyone pourposly
I have seen the joust canceled once due to rain but all other shows went on
There is no stroller rental, and it's not a great place to bring a stroller, really. The ground is alternately gravel and dirt, with some large tree roots. I'd recommend a carrier, if your little one is small enough.
If you’ve got a medical reason, I’d suggest bringing a pen. Discreet and won’t both anyone, but you can also enjoy your time without being uncomfortable.
Yes the zoo is included. You buy tickets inside and use those for food and drinks. Cash is needed for rides and tipping performers
You can buy passes that are good for any open day
Opening day for King Richard's Faire is traditionally Saturday of Labor Day Weekend. This year that was September 2nd, and can fall anywhere from August 30th to September 5th in any given year.
Cash for the gates and the food/drink tickets but a lot of the other vendors take card. There's an ATM station inside the gates.
There is no additional fee but they work for tips to support their income.
