No re-entry if you want the mead, bring your ID. They might allow you out for something needed (like something for a child or medication) but they will NOT let you out for your ID. Their take on it is: be prepared, they card everyone pourposly

It's probably a case by case basis. If that was the situation, I'm sure they'd let you. I forgot something for one of my kids in the car and they let me leave and come back. The rule is to keep people in and spending money there. I'd be surprised if they wouldn't let you get your ID.
