My keys don’t work. You can see immediately that the copies look nothing at all like the original. The company is sending me a refund but that leaves me without the keys I need. This concept would be clever if it worked but it 100% doesn’t. It’s not the individual kiosk either; these keys were made at a corporate location and mailed to me. I will be asking Safeway to remove the kiosk.Hello Eric, thanks for letting us know about this issue. We sincerely apologize that you had an issue with your key. We would appreciate the chance to make this right, if you could contact us at (855) 343-5776 or [email protected] at your earliest convenience. So this machine doesn’t work. Saw other reviews saying the same so I tried to do several scans in the hopes at least one would work, all of them didn’t. I’m assuming it needs to be calibrated regularly and KeyMe just isn’t being diligent. I was able to file them down by hand until they worked but it was a huge hassle and I can assume most folks don’t have a file set handy.Hi Ben, thanks for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry you had a bad experience. If you wouldn't mind contacting us at (855) 343-5776 or [email protected], we would appreciate the chance to take care of this. We look forward to speaking with you and having the opportunity to serve you soon.

After I received my new house key from the machine, I could immediately see that it was not an accurate copy. The general shape was similar, but there were a couple of significant differences. I held my key in firmly as the machine scanned it so I don't know why it should have gotten an inaccurate reading. When I tried it on my back door, the key went into the lock but would not turn and is therefore useless. I'm giving two stars because the refund process on their website (via chat) was pretty painless and easy. Better to spend $2.50 getting a house key copied at Denver Lock & Key (just down the street) and have the confidence you'll get a good result rather than pay $8.50 at this kiosk and pray it comes out right.
