They scheduled my interview for cal fresh on Saturday 6/18/22 at 11 and they never called so I called 30 mins later to find out they are closed and when I put my social security number on the phone number they provide it said they don't have my number in file?Whoever is scheduling interviews needs some training it must be nice to sit there behind the desk when you have no worries and your able to work and not have to be concerned about food ASIAN LADY ON THE PHONE SAID THEY CALLED ME AT 12 30 ON SATURDAY BUT MY INTERVIEW SAID 11 AMD THAT THEY WOULD CALL WOTYIN A 15 MIN PERIOD SO I CALLED THE NUKBER THEY PROVIDE ME AND THEY SAID THERE CLOSED

I called Sacramento County Dept of Human Assistance at 8:10 a.m., spoke with an intake person who transferred me to another customer representative, and have been placed on hold, currently 1 hour and 24 minutes and counting.

My worker is Sandy “parcopia” or something like that. Absolutely terrible. She knows I’m homeless with an infant and ive done everything she’s asked me to do. She doesn’t return my calls, respond to any of my emails, ignores the stuff I asked to be put in her personal box and I’ve even requested a response through the website. There’s absolutely no reason it should take this long. Every time I speak to her (the 2 times I’ve ever been able to get ahold of her in the very beginning) she was EXTREMELY rude. Because my well-being is dependent on her I’ve been extra nice. This woman is evil in my opinion. I wish I could get another worker

I was working to get my father's Medi-Cal reinstated and CoveredCa forwarded me to this office. The initial operator and case worker were all very helpful. I even got disconnected and somehow was able to get transfered back to the case worker (Audrey or Aubrey) who was exceptionally helpful and pleasant to deal with and we were able to resolve any and all issues with my father's case. You all definitely deserve a raise thank you again for all the help.

You would want to make sure you case is closed in Illinois and once you arrive in Sacramento County you can go into any Department of Human Assistance and apply for you Medical and CalFresh (SNAP.)
If you are using the county post office box, you should only use that for mail from DHA and it must be picked up at an open lobby office. You can request email notification and text messages but there is a form to complete. If you go to the department website, you can get the addresses of all open offices.
There is a standard p.o. box that the department uses but you must go to an open lobby office during regular business hours to collect it. If you use this method, plan on checking regularly so you don't miss out on important things and lose your benefits by missing a deadline. This p.o. box is for you to get your mail from the department only not for all of your mail. You can also complete a form to get some notification by text or email.

You need to contact social security administration for that purpose. You will need ID and possibly your birth certificate or a US passport or LPR card. I think the only local office for Social Security that does cards is on Folsom Blvd but check the website at www.ssa.gov
