Very small but nice staff. You can tour the sanctuary in about an hour. No real store on site and no food for sale. A lot of the same rescued animals. Staff are knowledgeable and give you great background as you engage in the walk

It was really cool to see all these exotic animals with my daughter unfortunately we have two big of hearts just to see them in cages knowing that they wouldn't make it in the wild it's a sanctuary.. me and my daughter wear a heart on our sleeves and we feel like they just still seem sad but it is awesome place to go and check out with the family you know give to the animals by donating if able to

Yeah I haven't been there yet but I've talked to Roberta and she said they are all well
No it was saved and Roberta is asking for donations or tarps to cover the cages from the smoke.
The fire missed them. They at the moment are safe. The staff does have an evacuation plan in place. At this time the staff are doing all they can to keep the animals comfortable.
Before 10:00 to 11:00
$10 for adults $5 for children. $ goes towards animal feed and Vet Care. Worth every $ you spend
Talk to the person at the check in counter. They'll set you up.
They do have some birds mostly parrots.
It's super hot in Aug. I would try to get there early. Great shady place with tables to eat lunch. Definitely bring drinks!
They said the where evacuating them two days ago.
Yes
It is. But there is gravel in the parking lot. And it is mostly dirt and grass trails. We enjoy doing there. And knowing that all proceeds go to helping with the vet bills and feeding them!
There is no touching or holding of the animals. Most if not all of the animals are there because they are in some sort of rehabilitation or there old. Its not a petting zoo. They are wild animals!
A sanctuary means that they've been taken out of potentially dangerous situations and moved into a safer environment.
