Don't bet on any favors or assistance. We had to bring our snake somewhere else because they wouldn't work with us. Ended up finding a wonderful vet that let us make payments AND the cost was HALF! I'm sure they are great dr's but they are too big and popular to sympathize and help the underdogs (no pun intended) Dr Zimandy is an amazing vet and has such compassion for all pets. So glad we found her.

I have a pet raccoon that is actually my pet in my home. Buy ivermecton for horses and give her just a pinch of it every other day for 2 weeks and then start giving jt to her once a week. Put it on some food for her. It will clear that up. Thats what i use for my little man. Hes a year old ive had him since he was a week old. Idk if they do rehoming (I would call them to confirm that) but you could check out pet rehoming/reptile groups on facebook or even pet stores and Id specify what species. Are they aquatic? Or land tortoises? From your question, its hard to tell but are they both males? If they are and you've had them for a while, they may have reached sexual maturity and are fighting for dominance. Or space if their enclosure isnt up to snuff. Hope this helps and hope youre able to find good homes for them!

Don't know about cost but I do know its important to establish a baseline health record for any pet so the doctor can compare at your next checkup. I learned the hard, expensive way the value of regular checkups. You'll learn a LOT at the first appointment which will help you save money in the long run and more importantly reduce the suffering of your critter.
