I am from Carolinas and found a squirrel in Hurricane Florence. He seems to not have use of his back legs, his tail does twitch. He has a bite wound on his back end. We are keeping him warm and he is drinking pedialite. Any suggestions?

Squirrel rehabber here call vets office near you to see if they have a rehabber in hand. You can rinse wound or flush with sterile saline and if not too servere you can apply tripple antibiotic ointment. If bad wound could need antibiotics. Wash squirrel with dawn dish soap & water if need be. If he is a baby with little fur then they dont use there legs or walk as much yet. And dont feed much or anything but pedialyte during 1st 24 hours cause they act hungry and if they eat too fast they get phemonia.
