Just an amazing medical center. Top top notch professionals. They get a lot of emergencies and trauma patients so there is often some sort of wait but it’s worth it. Dr Palma is superb at figuring out mysterious cases. And the surgery team is also very very good, keeping you informed, explaining what’s going on and how to care for your dog when back at home post op. My dog had months of mysterious issues which appear to have turned out to be a bad spleen. Had it removed and he’s on the mend. Thank you!

I had to wait for an hour after my dog was seen to check out. Just horrible.

Dr. Dava Cazzolli is the most amazingly dedicated veterinarian I have ever met. He compassion and interest in the pet is unique. My Yorkie has been ill since I got him at 51/2 months...he is now almost 4 yrs.old. He has had hip surgery and unfortunately over 120 pages of medical reports from visits and tests. I have met many vets and specialists. We met Dr.Cazzolli when my Yorkie went to the emergency room for a possible gallbladder rupture. I would have to write at least 10 pages worth of words to describe the care and continued care Dr. Cazzolli has given Baby, my Yorkie. She has been there for him even though he is no longer her responsibility. When there is an unresolved issue or health problem she answers my texts almost immediately. I love her and am in awe of her knowledge and dedication. She has always been there even though we have met with her only once in the ER. She goes beyond her duty to make my dog healthier and more comfortable. Words cannot express how impressed by her and how grateful I am for all she does. She is shining star and I will always love her.

I have been coming to AMC for approximately 10 years, my family and friends have as well. My dog has a complex seizure disorder and we have heavily relied on the neurology team for many years. Over the past three years animal Medical center has changed drastically. Their customer service has become horrible and disorganized. Many times I have been hung up or dismissed when I questioned an error they made, or ignored completely. This place has become solely about the money. It is very sad that after a 10 year relationship I have to cut ties with them as an organization.

They have partial billing and you can open a care credit and be approved in less than 5 minutes.
They do not help out with the bill, make sure you have the funds you think it may be. The appointment alone costs $ so fron there on just keep adding. Brought my loved dog here for help, in which an ultrasound was necessary..thst alone was $550
There's an animal ambulance called Ambuvet if you need emergency transport. Also, there are pet taxis in Manhattan if you google it. Some regular taxis may also allow dogs in their cars if it's an emergency. But if you are concerned about your pet, you can call the Animal medical center, it's 24 hours.
Yes there are three exotics vets, they might not be in emergency but they have appointments until 4pm
Yes
Likely no. They are an emergency vet.
The hospital has a twenty four hour contact line where you can find someone to speak to. Please contact the hospital for the most accurate information.
They usually tell you what they will do and the cost, before they do anything. They have other resources they can give to you. Everyone's situation is different, so I only know from my experience. They may also try to get you an appointment with the ASPCA I have never heard of them not returning a pet, ever.
No they do not
This place is good. Dr. Palmer saw my cat. I can't really can't say the price, because each case is different. Take him to this place and not Blue Pearl.
Yes. I watched an owner bring a bird in while I was waiting for my doggie.
I had to pay over $4,000 because my Persian had to be rushed into ICU. So I think it would be something close to that.
Yes
No insurance is needed. If you're concerned about finances, the hospital does have an emergency admittance fee (around $200), which is fairly standard across hospitals. As John points out, they offer a pay-over-time plan, which can be structured for 6, 12 and perhaps more months at [0%apr] assuming equal payments and no defaults. That rate may vary slightly, but I know it has been offered before. I haven't seen this offered by animal hospitals before; it's a welcome way to ensure your pet gets treated!
If you love your pet, find another provider that services avian pets.
That's a good question and to be fair I'm not sure except that I did see some unusual pets being brought into the emergency clinic on the 2nd floor so my advice to you would be to call the general phone number and find out for sure. I'm willing to bet that your quail will be in very good hands.
I urge everyone to not take any pets here.
I spent $10,000, the internal medicine team misdiagnosed my dog, and then he died. No help with payments.
I spent $10000 in 2 days here and then my dog died because he was misdiagnosed. I highly recommend Red Bank Animal Hospital as they are honest and compassionate.
No one time I was there when someone found an animal and they refused to take it.
Yes if you dont have money they will make sure you qualify for Care Credit or they will not help your pet.
You need to call AMC or participate in dog forums on Facebook. I found it extremely helpful. Good luck.
No. They will not take any animals as I was here when someone found a lost dog and they refused to help.
I recommend you read the reviews and take your pet to any other animal hospital.
Yes please take him back. Don't let it get worse. Could be the amoxcillin is not working for ur dog. Please keep us posted.
hi you can get in touch with client services at AMC
My first visit here was $700. It did not include any vaccinations or nail trimmings. Just the visit, blood, and urine.
Sorry hear about your cat. You can get a cause of death. But every case is different so I think it would be best for you to call.
He needs to see a doctor
Make an appointment with any of the staff doctors or residents in Internal Medicine. All of them have seen atypical Cushings cases.
Maybe snow booties or or wrap for his paw
..you should bring.him in through emergency . Its about 24hrs. No appointment needed.
Yes they do in the exotics department
Without more details, we can’t know what’s wrong, but you should seek medical care as soon as you can.
I believe so. I've seen someone bring a turtle before but don't know what kind
I don't know, you would have to call and ask them.
It's best you call them and ask. They see all types of animals but the doctors that see birds may only be there on certain days.
This may not be a good sign and your cat should be seen by a veterinarian as soon as possible.
You take your pet in and they will see him/her in emergency or if not emergency you can make appointment just by calling.
I called they gave me a price of $250.00 😥😥😥😣I just wished he would ho to sleep n rest i am so hurtThanl you Michael Alicea
Not sure what their rates are.
Pepto bismol
The clinic is open to the public 24/7. There provide emergency services and specialists. They see all types of animals. It is best to call ahead if its not a dog or cat.
I would go to a local vet first.. i'm sure they could do it, but you should see what your vet says first.. I was referred for my cat's dental work and had a very good experience, got excellent care... but think it could go either way.. The place is old and a bit rundown.. may depend on the vet you get there. And an unfortunate fact of life in NY is that all vet care is very expensive, AMC included... not cheap.
Go save the cat
Yes I had an endoscopy done there. They also charge for the dr, the anesthesia, the biopsies, and the medicine.
