It's hit or miss with staff here. Most of the college aged guys are pretty friendly and courteous. Some of the long-time guys, not so much. It's never too late to go back to school and re-learn common courtesy and most of all, FRIENDLY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS KEY TO RUNNING A GOOD BUSINESS, especially in a town where one may lose business to another store because customers are put-off by some of the staff. PROFESSIONAL + FRIENDLY = MONEY. repeat the mantra :)

I love Spirit Haus, my parents were loyal customers when I was growing up back when Marvin owned it, they have an extensive and interesting selection and it’s an overall great store. But the experience I (and about half a dozen other customers in the store at the time) had today was truly shocking and off-putting. One of the employees was dropping F-bombs from the time we walked in the store, it was obnoxious and not particularly professional, whatever. But as I was waiting in line I witnessed him cuss out a customer for accidentally walking away with his pen. The customer tried to laugh it off as they put the pen back on the counter but the kid wouldn’t let it go, saying “don’t laugh it’s not f’ing funny, don’t steal from me” and then turned to the customer behind them and said “this guy really just tried to f’ing steal from me”. The whole store went silent in discomfort and shock and the poor customer walked away likely mortified and I’m sure won’t be returning. Over a pen?? Unbelievable, disgusting customer service.
