A perfect experience. I've been a patient for years, and have nothing but praise for everyone at Eye Physicians of Northampton. And recent cataract surgery was perfect. Everyone, from the check-in to the aides, nurses, doctors, etc., was relaxed, friendly, and very professional. It could not have been easier or better.

Dr Shield and Bill and the surgery nursing staff were wonderful. Kind, compassionate and explained things clearly & honestly as we went along; said this might sting or hurt ahead of each move which I really appreciated. Dr Shield did a thoughtful and exacting job with both my cataract surgeries. Can't recommend him & his surgical staff enough; and there were also a couple wonderful staff members at his Northampton office.

Hi Cheryl, We do not specialize in retinal disease, however, as our practice often cares for patients with retinal problems and will refer them to a retinal specialist when necessary. Hope this helps...

Please call the office to speak with our reception staff so that they can confirm whether we are contracted with any secondary plan that you may have through MassHealth however, as there are several plans associated with it.
