I do not know what they got going on currently, but I grew up in the kids programs at this library. It's the only card I hold on to lol I've been homeless, displaced, out of Mass completely, and I still make sure I have my Jones library card. I don't know why. It's just the best place. I went during college and just did reading and homework there, as if there was not a whole entire library in UMass. It's my safe place 🥲 Also I love that I'm not the only person who loves this place. The Jones is, or at least was, quintessential library vibes.

An antique building recently proposed for another rebuild, originally dreamt up by a lumberjack I'm 1919; renovated not that long ago it defines what is the true center of Amherst. Up the hill on either way, the four hills crest into the four way intersection of "Downtown Amherst", and there sits The Jones. The courtyard out back features an 18th century garden has also been changed recently and use to house several more cedars, the gardens and trees are of worthy note. Open late on Tuesdays and Thursdays, this library is house to a pillar of the local community.
