Not every visit I've had has been good. There have been times with certain practitioners that I felt really disrespected and not heard. However, Dr Thakral makes up for ALL of that. She is a real joy. I almost wish I had more reasons to come see her.

I absolutely dislike this practice and only stayed because I have been with the same PCP for years and years. Recently, a staff called the day before a scheduled CT to inform me that insurance declined the procedure. Now I am 100% sure they were notify much sooner than 24 hours in advance that it wasn't covered yet no one called me or notified the doctor. The doctor then places a referral for an ultrasound, because insurance will cover that. The day before the procedure staff from South Shore Medical call to say the ultrasound was scheduled in Norwell and should have been scheduled at the hospital, call the hospital to reschedule. Seriously! Thankfully, the abdominal pain isn't an abdominal aortic aneurysm or I would be dead by now. Geez. So now I need to locate and register with a new practice.

I followed my Dr here bc he is great. This review is about their pharmacy department. If you need your meds to come in the time span they give (24-48 hrs) and the pharmacy you tell them reliably do not go here. The frustration is indescribable as I've once again been without my meds for a week bc they didn't send them to the pharmacy I told them to. I've regularly had to drive 30+ mins out of my way to get meds bc they decided to send them to a different cvs. It's ridiculous.

I am new to south shore medical center. This place is so expensive. I am young and no health concerns. For a routine blood drew for annual physical exam, the cost is about $800. After insurance, I am still eligible for $150. I called my insurance, they told me south shore did a test usually for people age 40+. So my insurance won't cover it since they only covered it for age 40+. I called their bill department to review my bill and my doctor notes. It has been almost a month, I still hasn't heard back from them. I called 4 times in the month to followed up, they still ask me to wait. Such a painful experience.
