Great food, well planned. No rude staff. Large chairs with sleeping in mind. Steady schedule. Very well managed.

Disrespectful, Dirty, Unhelpful. The homeless need everything they can get to pull themselves out of their situation and this place plays favoritism and adds unnecessary stress. And the disrespect should be fixed immediately, your dealing with stressed out people and your rude? Disgusting.

"There were plenty of other places she could have gone" is false. As a homeless woman, I know there are very few places you can go to stay warm in NYC. Obviously she wouldn't have gotten pneumonia if she had other options. What a sick response. Also keep in mind that, as I said, safe havens for the homeless are few and far between in this city. This person may not have had the funds to travel to any other warm place (assuming she even knew where one is). We are morally obligated to help those in need. I take satisfaction in knowing that Hell exists for the kind of people who put her through this. I hope you people enjoy taking heat for granted in this life, because you'll have an unlimited amount of it in the next one, trust me.

Yes, you gotta be in by 10PM
You obviously must need a place to stay out of the elements- you've found the right place...just go to front desk in the basement and you go from there
No. No one can enter the shelter unless they plan on being a resident. The resident must come outside to spend time with the other person outside.
No its just a drop in center after some time you will be directed to a bed as they call transitional shelter untill your supporting housing kicks in an that can take some time, up too a year or more depending on your case if they deem priority
