Just terrible they do not take phone calls and you have to make an appointment to even ask a question I can not believe how lazy our government offices have become I would give them a negative rating but this site only allows for positive ratings that is so basis too
shortstopike
Have to make appointment and when you get there you have to sit in hallway til you are called to enter the motor vehicle office. What a process.
brock cotter
You need an appointment sonits smooth going, they even got me in early since it was slow. Great experience
Andrew Westerman
They are currently taking people by appointment only. Glad I wasted 2hrs of my day to drive there and back to find this out.

Depends. If you are renewing a registration online, it comes in the mail. If you are doing it in person at DMV, you will get it at the window when you pay
Call DMV you should be able to get a copy of both at a cost of course. You'll need an appointment to get them tho
Bring the plates and Reg back to Dmv,but remember to make an appointment if you do,I just feel it would be a faster and better response.
Yes just $1 :)
After May 03, 2023 you will need a RealID card from the DMV or a Passport.
Yes right on line it is fast and easy
I went last week and had to have an appointment. Have to make the appointment online
Make a appointment and go in person
Yes you can
You can drop off all registration paperwork at dmv and they will call later that day with your plates
I live with someone though at thier apartment. Im not on the lease
The form is there at the box last time I was there. Make sure you also put a dollar in or they won't process it.
I believe you need to create an account on New York DMV website, and then go to your specific county, and there should be a link to create an appointment. once your appointment is confirmed you show up at that day and time. we need to make sure that the security attendant knows you're there. he or she will verify your appointment and you'll still have to wait. You will then be called in when there's enough space because there is a limited amount of people allowed in there. Once inside the actual DMV office things will be pretty expedient as they were haha. If you are returning plates, you need to use the Dropbox outside. Fill out the form, put the form with the plates in the envelope, and include a dollar bill. Drop it in the box.
Yes they do
No
Just go in and file out the form and switch it over. It's gonna cost well over $100 dollars so be ready for the outrageous cost..
As grumpy may be true to his name, factually he is correct in all of his points. DMV is the place, to obtain an enhanced license, which costs more than a Passport. But as soon as you enter DMV the form is right with the Drivers license applications
Problem is the inspection that we are all forced to do is solely for the state to make a profit. If it really was about safety the state would pay the cost. But as it is now we pay the state and the garage gets nothing . Fact is states that have no inspection have less motor vehicle crashes then ones that require inspections. NY State vehicle inspections are a racket / scam to line the pockets of the corrupt and slimy political parties.
Well it's NYS and since they are all about screwing us for as much as they can get to line their pockets I wouldn't be surprised if didn't take care of the issue the right way. I'd go on and ask for them to explain it and correct whatever needs to be corrected
Lol you don't
NYS DMV: "When you register a new or used ATV for the first time, your registration will expire each year on August 31. Registrations for ATVs originally registered before April 1, 2005, will continue to expire each year on April 30."
Any I believe
I'd just sell it but be sure the buyer knows there is no paperwork on it. Or option B . Have a friend register it in VT and then sell it. I've done it this way. VT is so much easier and cheaper then NY .
Do a new application
Yes
