Great blueberries! Fun picking experience!

I have been here twice already this season!! My 1 year old eats so many blueberries in a week and he was in heaven here. He even got to pick them off the bush. They’re awesome about greeting you at the entrance, explaining everything etc. Also I loved how it really is stroller/wheelchair friendly. Which is awesome because my little one gets some time in the shade and can of his stroller. It’s reasonably priced and they even have free tractor rides! Even the bathrooms were clean and they’re portable bathrooms. What’s not to love?

Great blueberry picking place! They have many different varieties, all yummy. They provide bags, a map, and directed parking. It's also accessible from the nearby rail-to-trail bike path. They have refreshments, including drinks, snacks, lunch stuff, ice cream, and, of course, blueberry themed things like blueberry lemonade and blueberry popsicles (I recommend the popsicles on hot days). There are some other things for kids, like a wagon ride, fish feeding, etc. They also have a farm for peach picking pretty close by (across US1). Practical stuff: Get here early, ideally a little before they open. If they're busy, most of the blueberries will be picked within the first hour. Blueberry price is based on weight ($7/lb when this was written). They accept cards and cash. The season is short, so mark your calendars for next year!

We will be opening April 1st 9am-2pm. :)
During our Fall Festival (which usually runs late September through early November), we have sunflowers; as well as during our U-Pick Peach season (which usually runs late April through May). We don't grow strawberries. Our favorite u-pick strawberry farm within reasonable driving distance of Mims FL is Oak Haven Farms in Sorrento.
Yes! Learn more here: https://www.everafterfarms.com/fall-festival/ And due to the heat and humidity in the summer in Florida, growing pumpkins is next-to-impossible so we ship in pumpkins for the Fall Festival. It's arranged in a patch but they are not actually grown onsite.
We are cautiously optimistic that we can stay open until Sunday, May 26th.
(1) YES! Same hours as usual for a Sunday; 9AM to 3PM (2) We don't know yet. We are hoping and praying to be able to stay open through Memorial Day weekend but last year we didn't make it that far.
No. We apply conventional best management practices (BMPs) to our blueberries. Thankfully we are not organic. This year, gale midge has wrecked havoc with Florida organic blueberries. A Department of Agriculture representative came out to our farm last week and said we have the best looking plants that he has seen from any blueberry farm in Florida all season.
We open TOMORROW, Tuesday, April 2, 2019!
This year, we have nearly 40% more blueberries per bush (per our expert consultant's estimate) than we had last year. It's going to be a blueberry bonanza! The first week of April appears to be the opening week but it could be a little sooner.
We're hoping it will be the last weekend of March. We will know more on that answer in about a week
As of Saturday's review of the situation, it appears we will have our grand opening the last week of March or the first week of April. One of our neighbors farms, Sledd's, has strawberries and they usually ripen in January and February but I don't think she planted strawberries this year.
This year, there is a VERY strong possibility that we will open in mid March.
Not this year. Maybe next year. But we recommend you check out Sledd's which is a mile away from our farm. That farm does a maze in one of it's field.
Blueberries are at their peak this weekend. We estimate over 75,000 pounds are ripe and on the bushes as of today. In fact, since the U-Pickers won't be able to pick them all, we are bringing in a team of people to pick them on Sunday afternoon so that thousands of pounds don't go to waste.
On April 10, 2018, they charged us $5 / pound. They give you large plastic bags with a ziplock top to put the berries in.
