Cool little fishing spot away from the city. Small boat launch too
John Tarr
Hatbill Park launches into one of the most beautiful stretches of the St John's River and if you know where you are going, it offers access to some beautiful lakes. The "park" is nothing more than dirt and grass. The area is usually littered like a landfill and I've never seen anyone cleaning it (a perfect job for the prisoners they use to clean along the roads). Ramps are steep and narrow, so you must pay attention; not for new boat owners or inexperienced trailer users. In addition, the fishing in the area surrounding the ramp is almost non-existent due to netters and poachers. Don't leave any valuables visible in your car! They will be missing along with your windows. This park could be so much more and beautiful, if the county cared.

Primitive camping by permit and on weekends only
There is a designated camp site. With gated access free to use to the public. but get in line its booked for the next weeks all of feb an march was taken when i looked. Its open Week days or weekends. Now that being said.. I take my camper to the actual park. Reason being is because... at the Gated Camp site stands an inclement weather Shack. For boaters to find shelter when the weather goes south which happens often and fast in Florida. The reason I tell you all this is because... you may have the reservation for a designated spot however that does not mean you will be alone for your stay boats can come and go as they please and you don't really have any authority to tell them to go it's just as much of theirs as it is yours. Ive personally been on both sides boater/camper.. have fun respect the land and take your trash with you
Call 📱 them
