Used to be a great spot to fish and see wildlife until they started the kyak launch and put trees in all the fishing spots to divert people.

Had a great time seeing bioluminescence it was so much fun If you're into kayaking at all over canal Check out A-day away kayaking they're the best.

There are quite a few hotels nearby to choose from. When looking for nearby lodging, search for hotels in Titusville and Kennedy Space Center. There is a KSC Holdlidy Inn near there which is probably the most reasonably priced option at 87$ per night as of my search just now on hotels.com.
